He's been raising threads from the dead. But with posts of substance. Rather than calling this "necroposting" I shall refer to it as "Jesus Posting" at the risk of offending people.

I had him balled up inside of me for a while, but I was tired of his curly hair tickling my innards, so I let him out.

Resurrecting a Thread. Necroposting would be similar but is often not done in a way that contributes to the thread. I have seen (here by a certain unnamed user we all hate) a time when a thread that was months or even years old was brought back with a post simply affirming another post in the thread. Resurrecting a thread would be bringing a thread back to life in a positive and productive way. Like Jesus resurrected Lazarus (even though he is never mentioned again in John's gospel; or any of the other people who were raised from the dead by Jesus for that matter)

However, so as to not leave anyone unoffended:
Hank, your mother is a hamster and your father smells of elderberries! ;)

"until my loins of life"...haha...well, German-English online translators are only so good, you know?

That song sounds vulgar...but I do have a soft spot for such tunes; if only because they have rhythm. German tech/metal or whatever that is defined as sounds cool. I wouldn't listen to it since I can't always hear what they are saying even if I did know German well enough to understand the lyrics. Of course, a good way to learn a language may be through music...but only if you can hear the lyrics.

Windows 7 is nice. I like it.

Right now I'm passionately apathetic about all this hooplah with protest by unions and riots/revolutions in the Middle East...meh. Everyboy is talking about it and I'm sure there are some folks out there preaching the end times.
Interestingly, when WikiLeaks people shut down sites etc, no one cared or they even praised them but if the conservative organizations attack unions or such there is a freaking witch hunt. We call that a double standard, y'all.

The world can go to hell in a handbasket, but I'll survive. I always survive. The strong will live on and the weak will crumble under their own ignorance.

Burning my first Blu-ray disc. Let's see how it turns out.

I've just had a great idea! You know how microwaves never cook evenly? Well I figured it out, the tray rotates to try and even things out, and I was looking at the moon out of the window thilst my sandwich was being heated in the microwave, think of the tray as the sun, it just roatates on an axis, which is no good. What if it behaved like something that orbited a star? So what I think is that if the tray moves on a pattern and rotates on it's axis faster (5:1 ratio or something) than it takes for one whole orbit, it would make the cooking more even.

Just a thought, if nobody has done this I may patent it, but feel free to steal it as I will likely never do anything with it.

I hear enough about the Middle East as a political science major, but I have to admit I've got enough problems in my own little life to be able to emotionally handle the Middle East BS. The fact that I am unable to be apathetic when it comes to global life and politics just makes it all the worse.

Solution? Sex and masturbation. They're the best two things that life has to offer when it comes to finding a healthy way to exert stressful energy.

I don't know if it's worth doing all that. The main problems I have with inconsistent heating is that the middle sometimes doesn't get warm enough, and that's to do with the waves not being able to penetrate so much material, not the rotation.

Well, if that's the case I shall have the mechanism so that a slider allows you to bias the angle somewhat, everything is simple when you break it down :P

Actually, I can see several reasons that this could go horribly wrong, most of them involving pain of some sort. It doesn't matter if it is worth doing it, what matters is that I could potentially sell it to someone with a lot of money if I can prototype it and get a load of meaningless figures on paper.

I turn to alcohol and video games...or school work (which, turns out, is cheaper); but since I'm not a poli sci, I have an option you don't. It doesn't help that this type of stuff has been going on forever but only now does the media decide to report on it. And they don't all say the same thing since you now have your leftist news, your more centralist news, and your rightist news.

My stance? Fuck the Middle East. I say we take that archaic Monroe Doctrine, and that Marshall Plan that says we're supposed to police force the world, and throw'em out! Let's stay home for the next ten years people! Right here in America and enjoy the music and culture that is ours.

Well, as long as cheap fuel is part of the culture ...

^ That's the only problem.

50 years from now when we're off oil, that dream may be realized.

We've got enough oil on our own soil to last for the next 300 years, we just need to stop being fucking pussies and drill for it. "Ruining" the environment just gives us more incentive to develop something else.

People are going to start invading Canada soon for oil, specifically northern Alberta since we have tar sands up here. However, I think it takes longer to produce usable oil through tar sands than regular oil you get from drilling it because you have squeeze all the oil out of the sands.

The US has already invaded Alberta. China is next. Who cares, for as long as one can make a profit. :P

As long as they don't start any wars over it, otherwise they haven't learned anything from their invasion in Iraq.

As long as they're peaceful about wanting our oil sands, then it's okay. However, if they go in and say "all your oil are belong to us", and start dropping nukes if we don't comply, then that's where we have issues.

Take my dad for example, who is a geologist. Before his company decides to drill in a certain area, he sets up a meeting with their government and says, "hey, is it okay if we drill here". If they say no, then they can't drill there.

We can get oil for cars from algae apparently.

#3209

I wonder if you can get oil from people? Or at least some kind of fuel, I'll bet we could, and people are always dying, they'll never stop that, but they'll never stop people being born either! There you go, I solved the crisis with an infinite source of... whatever resource you can get from people.

I'm one of those people that thought Soilent Green was a good idea.
