Rule #32: Enjoy the little things.

Pizza, wings, and beer on a Wednesday night? Hell yeah...

This thread is dead and needs revival:
Because President Obama needs to improve is approval ratings (which are below 50%) so he can get through the primaries without competition, he is interrupting my TV watching tonight. I watch 5 shows and one is supposed to be on right now. I'd rather watch Human Target than listen to political BS capitalizing on the deaths of people in Arizona....
Maybe they will show the show after the speech....

I found this rather amusing

Might have to give it a try when I get my system home on the weekend. Never tried overclocking myself. Maybe it's time. If grandma can do it, so can I.

Why do people overclock? I never felt the need to do so. I suppose it is just an obsession with bigger, faster, better, more stuff.

As an aside:
I need a good stress relief game. Something where you just kill people without it being hard. I'm thinking maybe Carmageddon meets Postal meets Call of Duty. Does such a thing exist?

I don't usually do it. Tried it a couple times. Thing with TurboBoost is that if all 4 cores are being used, the CPU is only going to do about 3.4-3.6 GHz (2600K is 3.4 GHz by default). I know it won't make a huge difference, but I'm just saying I've always wanted to try overclocking out.

With FSX, your FPS can go up if you overclock, because the program is CPU bound for the most part.

FSX overclocked on a 980X gives big performance increases

@blackharted: There are very few types of people who consider sex a sign of maturity. One is a 12 year old boy. The others are people who should probably be sterilized. Which are you?

@jeff: They still make flight simulators? It has been forever since I last touched one. I do have one from a Steam package that I never played much and haven't installed since my last format.

There are two major ones that I know of. X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator. MS closed the Aces game studios in 2009 which made Flight Simulator for the past 29 years, however, it has been reformed with the announcement of Microsoft Flight Simulator 11, or as they call it Microsoft Flight. They're making it available to the more casual audience, but also having some hardcore stuff in for me to play around with. Should be coming out this year. By the looks of it, it's basically FSX, but with some tweaking. Probably DX11 support and such.

Damn, this game is as old as I am (I'll be 28 this year).

Ok I'll bite. The person who should be sterilized :P No seriously everyone I know considers sex a sign of maturity. I mean it's what almost all grown up adults do.

On an differant note the first pic of Andrew Garfiled as Spider-Man has hit the net. I'll save you the trouble of looking it up: Its terrible. Yes there appears to be web shooters (yay!) but the rest is terrible, there's not even the belt around the waist :P

That doesn't mean that sex is synonymous with maturity. it just means that many adults do it, who also may happen to be mature. There's no actual link, it's just coincidental.

My odds have it that you're not mature enough, or old enough to know about it, though.

Sex is like a good viedo game, any fool can play it but only an expert can master it.

First time I had sex I was 12 years old, in no way mature. As you mature you want it less because you realise there are more meaningful things.

My argument probably does not count for anything though as I haven't had sex in about 4 years now.

I agree, and I have to say it is very big of you to admit that. Unlike twathearted, who is so insecure that he has to try and boast about his exploits on a forum full of people he doesn't know. And he's probably talking tripe anyway.

Nope not insecure. But a grown up would not post a childish insult to someone he doesn't know. And FYI no i'm not talking tripe its true.

^High Treason wins.
experience in sex != maturity in understanding sex

I just thought of this (and it is horrible) but...
The weekend is Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend in the US. Now, wouldn't it be funny to have Duke be revealed on Martin Luther King weekend by saying "hail to the king"? Heh? Heh? Isn't that funny...

Honestly, I wouldn't be that upset at the NAACP if they got upset over something like that...because, well, unlike many things the NAACP gets upset over, it actually is terribly low in class...but not racist.

Wannabe troll just got troll'd, dude. You're a bit of an amateur aren't ya? Anyone who even considers calling themselves a troll would have seen that coming a mile off.

No I didn't of course I saw that coming, surely for such an "clever" person such as you could've thought of an insult better than that. Jeez I've overestimated people here :P

blackharted, I've been drinking. That makes me a combination of irritable and horny; mostly just irritable though. Want to have rough sex? My place, 20 minutes.

Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up. - C.S. Lewis
