Edit: On a completely unrelated note, I've discovered that the new chain I put on my bike is bloody useless and then the split-link wouldn't work, I then used chain tools on it to try and split the thing - this didn't work either and I broke about 5 tools in the process. I then proceeded to grab the chain by hand and it practically fell apart in three places just by me tugging it a bit, I knew the 2 miles I did on it had screwed it up, but blimey, I'm glad I didn't ride it with that scrap again.

Now I have put the old chain back on, it will snap a third time but I don't know when, hopefully after the thing is in the scrap pile - hopefully in just a couple of weeks. This is the least of my worries, because whilst I was working I discovered that my Hydroformed Alloy frame that is rusty (Because Aluminum is notorious for it's ability to rust is it not? ) as a major crack in the weld where the seat pole meets the bottom bracket.

It's done well, it has lasted a few days over four years, but everything has pretty much had it on it now, modern bikes usually only last me about six months before my sheer strength snaps the frame, ruins the suspension or rips the bottom bracket off.
