Hey, Viper, I ran across something today whilst scouting for parts and it reminded me of something you said. What the guy is asking is a bit steep - always is, I'm amazed he sells anything despite seemingly selling fucking everything - and that's the ISA version of the chip, but at least it gives you an alternate model number to look for that appears to match the spec. Of course, one without a hard drive would probably prove to be a pain in the ass due to the weird BIOS that Compaq used back then.

Wow...same computer with a different name and a different front vent.

I imagine the Presario version is more cut down. I know that my ProLinea board had silkscreened information for both cut down systems and higher end ones.

Also the BIOS wasn't weird, it just lacked autodetection, like so many other 486 systems. Or maybe I'm not remembering it right.
