Seems they got some new guy at work, so I don't work all of next week. Ah well. I start that job at the new company in January anyways. It's almost quitting time.

I was also going to replace a lot of my light bulbs. Apparently, the government is planning on phasing out the old light bulbs in favor of new, more energy efficient ones. I've upgraded some of my bulbs, but not all of them.

Sooo I signed my first rental contract this weekend and will probably be moving into my own place sometime in January. It's been an emotionally heavy couple of days... Leaving the home is definitely something I deemed necessary and still do... but when you're actually confronted with the choice of signing the contract, it's scary. Not because I wasn't prepared, or because I'm not 'ready', it's just... a big life-changing decision, so naturally some doubt sets in. Parents didn't take it too well initially which stressed me out a lot, but they've calmed down and are trying to help in the best way they can which is a relief. As much as I like to pretend to be an "I don't need help from you"-bad boy, truth is things would be a lot harder and more tedious without their lifelong experience with this whole "being an adult" thing giving me some guidance.

The appartment's "mine" starting from Jan 1 2014. I guess the plan is to gradually put furniture in it over the course of the month before I move in, so it should be pretty comfortable from the get-go. I know some guys who just immediately moved in with not much more than a mattress. Don't really want that
