Those cops are really stupid. And one of them just pulled the dog by the lead, that seems the least secure way of taking an animal that is not yours, especially when you are arresting the owner under the claim his dog is dangerous. And if the dog attacked the cop the owner couldn't be blamed.

I glanced at the pdf file in the link. Is the union actually asking for paid sick leave for part timers or just a plan that makes sure they have a job when they return from the illness?

All I really want is more hours, that's it. Not looking for better treatment or anything because the people I directly work for are cool. Maybe not the suits running the place. Everyone has different needs or reasons to strike though. Hours was a big one, but there's more to it than that.

Part-time with sick leave is full-time. What they want is a better economy but because they can't magically make that appear, they will settle for strike.

I've worked in this scam. 34 hours and no benefits, 'cause it was still less than 37 and one half.
Even if you get sick leave as full timer, there are catches. 2 days/year if you worked for a full year and so on. I'm sure they could hammer a deal with the insurance corporation for part timers as well, like a ratio to hours served. But, part time workers are the modern day slaves, and most important to the health of the economy.

I'm starting to prefer an external card reader, than an internal one. I tried installing this old card reader in my case only to find out it wouldn't fit properly. I don't mind internal hard drives or optical devices because they always fit without fiddling, but I didn't realize my case only had a certain number of special 3.5 slots for these kinds of devices.
