North Korea wants to shoot a satellite to space, but Russia doesn't want them to :P

Don't worry, there's some sort of homo "mmmmh" sexual innuendo hidden within that.

Eh, I wouldn't want North Korea putting satellites in space either (unless they were trying to hitch a ride on a Russian craft, which would explain why Russia's opinion matters at all here). Putting stuff like that in space is a pretty precise practice, and NK seemingly can't even get "simple" missiles right most of the time.

I never realized how big the internet actually is. Pretty fascinating.

That was a fun and facinating time waster.

I just got all my results back and I've passed this semester of uni! (there were times I had doubts). I got 3 credits and a high distinction which is a bit lopsided. My mark went up from last semester from 74% to 77%

There is a really cool looking indie game called Intrusion 2 on Steam sale for € 2.71. I just got it, it's a controller friendly platform shoot em up in like Contra or Metal Slug, great value cool game.

I've paid more for a packet of crisps before.

I don't get this argument that it's so cheap you should buy it. No, you shouldn't. Even if you paid more for some food.

My friend has over 1000 games on steam he says. He bought a lot of them because they were cheap. 1000 x cheap does not equal cheap :P

I wanted it anyway, I knew the price would come down so I waited, same with Max Payne 3, otherwise I could not justify spending the little money I have at the moment on fun, I'm sure there are others in the same boat.

If I had the cash I would get them full price, especially the indie games. It's not about buy it because it's cheap, it's about buy because it's good and a bit more affordable.

So now I have them both and I only paid 15 bucks, when something is really good and the price drops then it become incredible value.

I'm not one of those people who has hundreds of games on steam that they may never play (like my brother). I have 17 games and they all get a good spin.

A game like Intrusion 2 for € 2.71 you're pretty much Parker Lewis.

There were some games that were really cheap that I wanted to play, like Rage and Crysis 2, Doom 3, however they weren't cheap enough Posted Image

I'm willing to wait another year or so for their price to come down even more, and then when they have a massive sale I'll strike. I'm being a real scrouge at the moment and won't pay more than about $5 for them.

Well, I've gone and done it now, finally blown the output on my soundcard and the PSU for my scanner. Oddly, the scanner PSU blew whilst powering the scanner and not any of the other things I've plugged it into (which it wasn't rated for).

Unfortunately, I can't currently move the computer or the desk without experiencing some horrible effects with my health and have to wait until the end of the month for my hospital appointment. The scanner PSU isn't a problem, it's 12V so I'll use an ATX PSU on that, as for my sound card, I'm finally glad to have that Stereo Surround option, meaning I can use the output for speaker 3+4 instead in the mean time, though there are some things that don't work.

This is the right way to go. Around here everyone wants to print cars or car parts for some reason, I just want to try printing women or parts of women, seems much more practical to me, why would I need a car when I can stay at home and... Well, I think you get the idea. Failing that, I'm sure you would be able to print parts of men too and have fun with those.

Hmm, I think I've been on my own too long... New years resolution might be to do something about that. Maybe you should all make sure the doors are locked at night.

Edit: Thinking further, it would be possible to print bits of your favorite polygonal girls too! Right, 3D Printer is deffinitely going on the christmas list.

Speaking of girlfriends - after struggling with a slight case of depression for months (I say slight because I wasn't clinically depressed and it didn't interfere with my life very much) I finally seem to feel fine again since some weeks ago. I felt great while I was on Erasmus but ever since I got back home things weren't quite so awesome. It sucked to be back in a place with very little to do, with parents who constantly argue and complain, a shattered family that spends most of the time badmouthing eachother and (and this is where the girlfriend part comes in) I had a wayyyy too heavy crush on a friend of mine (obviously, it wasn't mutual, as I sadly came to find out).

So I felt like shit for quite some time. I still feel that I need to get out of this place ASAP - I have all the comfort that I need, but on an emotional level living at home is really unfulfilling and in my experience that fuels laziness and insecurity - but I'm more focussed on the future now.. Gonna save up money from my job (one of the benefits of living at home is that that's easy to do) and probably get my own place in a year or two.

Getting a girlfriend... will have to wait 'till then I guess. So, here's to a couple of cuddleless, kissless, sexless years. Huzzah!
