I think they are mostly disgusted with the idea of a rich independent woman dressed in a way that is not normal from them to see. It's pretty intolerant and uncalled for, I don't like the foolish woman but I don't think she is worthy of a protest of any sort.

Though she might have done some research on the country she was visiting first which she obviously did not, after all she is quite thick.
