Eh, like I said I'm not the one using my Steam profile most of the time. I'll have to check it later. I'm busy playing Max Payne 3 now.

Messed up sleep patterns are so annoying, I keep going to bed at around 4am

I need to start doing backups more often. I was reinstalling Windows on my other machine, and it formatted the wrong hard drive by mistake. I've got one of those automated Windows installers. Probably should do it manually next time. Since it was my other machine, most of the important stuff has been moved off of there. I haven't touched the system in months, so maybe it's not as bad as it seems.
I vaguely remember moving off some of the data from the Seagate drive (the one I formatted) a year ago, because it's health was low.

I will be gone on a trip to France and Italy for the next three weeks, so there is no guarantee I will visit the forums until then. Bon voyage!

Isn't 4am when humans are at their weakest or something like that?

Well Broussard got one thing right; we sure were wowed quite often when playing the game! Some of the most common wows include "wow that texture is baaaaad" and "wow this is boring"
I remember my first encounter with the alien mother ship and thinking "omg so low res..."

DNF had better be at E3 this year as I am damn near giving up hope that it will ever see the light of day.

What I see when I look out my window right now.
Fucking white shit...
#6319 Posted 05 June 2012 - 05:58 PM
When I first arrived in Canada in 1989, I asked my mom, what's that white stuff? Jeff, that's snow, she said. I guess for the first 6 years of my life, I was living in a hot climate. When I was in kindergarten it was -40 C and the schools were closed, I came home crying and the tears were frozen to my face.

Burned a bunch of the hair off of my face last night... made the mistake of using gas in a burn barrel and walked off to get more stuff to burn before I lit it up. It was a bunch of cardboard boxes and the fumes must have congregated inside some of them. BOOM. It was pretty fucking funny, actually. Judging by how bad I smelled (burnt hair smells like total shit) I thought I was going to end up without eyebrows or a beard but I was looking in the mirror afterward and it's pretty hard to tell anything even happened. I think the fact that I was all sweaty at the time saved me there.

-40C?! Where did you live? Nunavut?

Calgary, actually. The weather is really whacky here. I think our local meteorologists say it has something to do with being close to the Rocky Mountains.

Take what you want from that.
Gearbox won't release a new Duke game for a while but obviously not for the reason you're mentioning. Simply they already have enough on their plate with Borderlands 2 and Aliens: CM...

They're probably waiting until the next gen consoles are coming out until they make the next game. Also, the Unreal 4 engine is supposed to be coming out in 2014, so that's probably another thing they're waiting on. However, I've heard that even the new consoles wouldn't be able to run it, so I don't know.

So tomorrow morning, I'm going to stand in front of a judge and formally renounce my US citizenship. I know it's un-American of me, but it has to be done. No reason keeping it around.

You don't need to wait to begin working on a game. Or there wouldn't be any games in the first 2 years after console launch.

How come? Dual citizenship can be useful!
