Almost everyone I know my age smokes, some of them only casually, some of them very often.

Come to think of it, I'm the only guy among me and my friends who has never smoked anything.

Even if router somehow can't block this port(which i doubt is really the case here) then why it even being forwarded to your computer? Without specific setting router won't forward shit.

Which is what me and my buddy the Cisco engineer thought, it wouldn't be the first bug in the software, I used to have that port forwarded so that probably has something to do with it. I know full well it's defective anyway, my latency doubles with this router but the other one I have doesn't allow me to forward ports which is a bit rubbish when I am trying to host a website - which never seems to get any traffic  - it is a stupid thing.

What's there to report? All popular ports are getting accessed on a daily basis by various IPs. You should configure your router properly to deny connections and close any unneeded ports.

Obviously the attempted log-on by unauthorised parties, my router is supposed to do as you said here, I said in my post that it does not, you amuse me, you appear to have almost no knowledge of technology versus me and the people I know yet you always seem to take a contradictive attitude when I bring something up and I fail to see why outside of an attempt at trolling..

This friday I have to make a 1.5 metre tower (roughly 5 feet I'm guessing) out of newspaper that supports 1.25 kilograms at the top. I'm in a group of 8 and we have five minutes to build it! I tried a protype by myself at about 1.3 metres, and it did kind of hold it for about 7 seconds then it started falling over. Any ideas of what kind of structure I should use?

I'm the only one in my family that hasn't smoked. None of my family smokes now, but they have in the past.

Triangles. Is this just stacking paper? You might want to try a pyramid rather than a tower. But if you are talking hard structure, then you want to do triangles.

Today I was looking around my room thinking "I should really put these books away off the floor" but that was answered with "You have no where to put them" so...I'm off to buy a new bookshelf because the couple smaller ones I have are overflowing onto my floor.

Hey I was wondering about something. Whenever I mention I play a game to someone, the first thing they say is do you play it on XBox360 or PS3? Not PC. Are there more console gamers than PC gamers?

Woah, man, your buddy is a Cisco engineer?! I'm impressed.

Then stop using it altogether(or update/change firmware). It's not doing the job it supposed to do. What would you want provider to do, block IPs or something? Use your own shitty router to do that. What did you expect from an an popular open port without configured access lists?

Yeah, he's very boring and he has a strange way (the Cisco way) of implementing networks.

Latest firmware is installed, I can't really afford a new one because a new PC is long overdue. The provider will be able to take action against the abuse, if the user is unaware of it it may alert them to an issue on their own system (i.e. bots) when they get a letter through their door - at least, my provider sends you a letter if you get reported for abuse of anything. The port is supposed to be closed.

Yeah, I wanted to be a computer tecnician so most of my friends and associates have similar interests though most of them didn't drop out of college like me.

Because everyone waits until you go to bed before deciding to get interesting.

We could, but maybe we don't want to

That reminds me though, I went bowling the other day with some friends, halfway through the first game my jeans decided to split, luckily I had been wearing my coat all day - initially I had regretted this because it was a warm day - so I tied that around my waste to hide everything. It wouldn't have been too bad except when I stepped outside again it was extremely cold and windy, but that's not the worst part, the worst part is that I actually had to ride my bicycle home about 4 miles, the leather hairpin saddle is usually very comfortable but this wasn't very comfortable at all and my coat kept getting stuck in the back wheel, the wind was behind me most of the way though (the first time in years it has been and I couldn't really stop and appreciate it) so at least I got home quickly, I'm not entirely sure I can ever have children now though.

Ah, well, it can't be as disasterous as that time I went to the ice arena in shorts, nobody seemed to enjoy that. :P
