SO, for my job I am allowed to learn Flash (including ActionScript etc) but I can't tell anyone or they'd expect me to do stuff for them (and it is, honestly, well above my pay grade). I think I'll find a way to get it on my personal computer and play with it. I want to toy with physics and actionscript and make entertaining but simple games. Then I'll move up to fancy stuff.
The boss already told me he has a project for me with Flash...shouldn't have told people I was learning it.

Actually, I'm not sure I ever got the door open to the lava. Of course, if I had gotten to the lava, boots, steroids, jetpack etc would have done the trick, but I have a memory of always just looking at the door and never figuring out how to get it open.

IIRC you have to clear out the rooms on each side and there are switches somewhere in there. It's a pretty hard level from what I remember.

In other news, Mondays suck. There is no reason why Mondays don't suck. I am particularly not looking forward to next Monday when I start classes again. Of course, on the up side, I'll start making more money (because I have a monthly stipend that only comes while I'm in class) so I will be able to cope with whiskey.

In other other news:
There was an earthquake here in DC and although I wasn't sure it was an earthquake, people are saying it is a big deal since there aren't many here often. My old boss while I was living in the mid-west is from California so the one time there was a quake there he was asking why everyone was freaking out.

Suicide. I wonder what do people think before taking their life? Not in the means of how they arrived to this point, but the actual thought before dying. Of course we might never know exactly, but it's interesting whether or not they are happy. After all they aren't happy while living so their spirits should be better knowing that it'll end soon. What do you think?

Really? Interesting. Perhaps it was just a self-preservation instinct? For example when hanging human would try to get out of it even if he did so himself.

Also, we shouldn't forget about those to whom pseudo-suicide is just a way to have attention and pity. But I don't think you were referring to them.
