I won't be partying like most people out there. Might just watch some movies and such like I usually do for entertainment.

that pic reminds me of going over white pass through the cascades in washington state about four days ago . . replace the bear with elk

they did the same thing. stand out in the middle of the road in herds and stare at you
stopped in packwood for gas and elk were everywhere. in the road, peoples yards and fields, parking lots, etc. i'm surprised they didn't beg me for pocket change or a cigarette.
wife took pics, but it was kinda dark so don't know if they came out. i'll have to get around to finding her camera and rifling through it, if it isn't mixed up will all the other gear that got drug into the house when we got back.

I never drove in Washington, but this shot reminded me on British Columbia, in an desolate area in the mountains, no gas station, no pit stop, no nothing, just road ... and wild life.

When someone gives you an email address to write to how long does it take to assume that person is simply ignoring your letters? 1 week should be enough, right?

I still have several days before the full week, though. :)

Well... I was wrong. That person answered. Let's see how it goes from here.

And it went nowhere. After several emails there were no answer for months. Shit, was it really that hard to say "sorry, but I don't really have interest in our communication/relation"? :D

if you would have stuck with the, "i'm a thirteen year old girl. tee-hee," instead of blabbing the truth, you could have lured that person over and into the tiger pit trap outside your front door

Reading the strategy guide told me some things I never noticed before like different item placement and boss placement depending on what difficulty you play on.

In this picture, A is the placement for the Crowbar on Good, B for Bad and 8 for Ugly.

That person saw me first. My biggest mistake then.

ah. you left that little nugget of information out of your first post.
when you look and smell of cellar shackles and nipple clamps it tends to make people leery
you should have explained that you just escaped from a dungeon (even if it is your own) and tried for the sympathy approach

Looks like I don't have to take the shuttle bus to work next time. The damaged train tracks have been repaired and are fully operational as of today.

Hahaha, my friend's little sister is watching twilight right now. I love how you can have all this blood in PG-13 movie but you can only say fuck once.

Welcome to America.

There's blood in Twilight? I thought there were only sparkles.

Twilight? Pfft, Flandre Scarlet (Touhou) owns all over the vampires in that - that's right, your vampires were pwned by a little girl. :)

Now, 1AM rambling.

A seemingly irreplacable power transistor blew in my Casio CZ-1000 years ago, I bought a Yamaha DX-100 which was cool as it is effectively the same chip as the Sega Mega Drive and is patch compatible, despite how cool it was and the mini-keys (which I prefer) I always missed my Casio CZ. My DX-100 had failure recently, the board had cracked and the previous owner had reconnected the traces manually it appears, he did a good job but it seems to have cracked again and reconnecting the dead traces does nothing to help as it appears the ROM has become damaged.

I looked at controller keyboards in the hopes of them being cheap, all USB; no good to me, my gear is MIDI (MU-90R). They also cost >£70 for as many keys and controls as I wanted. I figured I might look for another DX-100, they cost hundreds now, might sell the parts from mine that still work.

I decided to look for another Casio, I've always bitched at enthusiasts for seeming not to like it. It paid off, I just ordered this. It has broken volume controls, but if that is a problem I shall just stick the control in from my dead CZ-1000, I never threw it out in the hopes it could be fixed one day, it probably can't, but it can help this one, I wonder what it would be worth fully functioning. On second thoughts, scratch that, I plan to keep it and make sure it doesn't go the same way as the other one, though I suspect that was due to the crap 80's band that had it before me circuit bending it with a level of incompetence never before seen by humankind, seriously, masking tape with things like "need 330K here" stuck to a piece of wire bypassing some cut traces, I didn't know about this until it broke, I just thought the filter was broken and never used that much anyway.

One of my favorite keyboards is the analog Roland Jupiter 4. Sounds a lot more meatier than its Jupiter 6 and 8 big brothers. Ah, I'd love to own one.

Gah, analog, just overblown system 100s. No place for analog in the 80's, digital was around.

Ok, I can appreciate good work from the Jupiter keyboards and MKS modules but I'm programmed to dislike them. In the world of synth there is a lot of hate for digital to this day and despite the CZ's price tag being around $199 for the CS-101 vs the four figure number for even Roland's cheapest analog synths, it didn't sell so well and it seems to be mostly because it was digital, this made Casio leave the performance market, probably held the industry back and makes me bitter towards people that can't accept obselescence. In short, I don't hate analog synthesizers, the SCI Prophet 5 is one of my favorite synths ever (I do not own one, probably never will), I just hate idiots.

I also always had technical problems with Roland hardware, I had an SC-55 and for a while, an SC-88 on loan (these were digital), which were apparently able to compete with the MU-80 I was running at the time, they didn't come close, the SysEx language (GS) was horrible and very limited and the amount of lag was just unacceptable... Drums, Pianos and most Synth Lead patches sounded bad too, which irked me because people seem to love the SoundCanvas modules, those same people claimed that the Yamaha MU series had poor drums, pianos and synth leads.

This guy sums up what the Casio CZ could do, this is the little CZ-101, though the CZ-1 was the performance model and would be able to outdo it. The 1000 I have ordered is almost identical to the 101 in what it can do.

Multitrack recording of course.

One thing that I found cool with the CZ was that it could mimic most other synthesizers if you took the time to poke it around.

LOL. I'm a guitar guy. In my world, I'm programmed to dislike digital equipment. Nothing like cranking a vacuum tube handwired 100 watt amp. I will buy one of these soon enough.

I could care less about the Van Halen stuff. I just love the way it sounds.

Unfortunately, I don't have $2000 to fork over for it.

That amp sounds great. I'm a guitar guy too these days. I was going through some closets to gather up stuff for a couple of flea markets this weekend. One of the things I blew the dust off of is my Cascio CZ-101. I still have the books and the extra plugin cartridge for it too. I'll have to fire it up. Maybe I'll keep it after playing it again. I think I've had this thing since shortly after they were introduced. Before this one I owned what I think was a Roland SH-1000 analog syth.

I wasn't that great of a keyboard player but I remember finding a midi program for my computer, an Atari ST, that would transpose the keys to whatever scale you choose. That way you could only play the right notes. Kind of like the way a harmonica works. AHH, the old days.

People are setting off fireworks in their backyards and for some reason I haven't heard a single dog barking. I wonder if dog owners nowadays are sedating their dogs for the 4th of July celebrations. Good job if they are.

Asdfghjhgfghkllj Why didn't I see that!

I've never scanned something before from a book but I'll try.

Edit: I've scanned the Single Player, Historical Missions and Multiplayer maps and I am currently uploading a zip file to Dropbox. I'll then upload them to Imgur as an album as well :)

I feel like a total pussy right now. A few days ago I had an operation on my back, this involved lying on my stomach for a long time whilst a guy cut pieces of my skin off and then put 17 stitches in... That was fine, no problem.

The problem came when I went to the dentist today, faced with the prospect of having three teeth drilled into oblivion I chickened out and said I'd rather just leave it until the teeth rotted themselves out or hurt so much that I wouldn't care about having things done. Personally I think two of them are un-necessary anyway, but I'm not a dentist.

On the plus side, the last time I went they tried to charge me for the work that was meant to happen today, I refused to pay for it, seems I did right as if I was still meant to pay up they missed their chance, I chucked the papers at the receptionist and left with no mention of outstanding charges, I'm supposed to return at the start of next year but I don't think I will. No gripes with the dentist at all, I've only just signed up with this one and they seem to know what they are doing although I do wish they'd stop perscribing me toothpaste, look, I don't brush my teeth often and when I do I certainly don't use toothpaste, that stuff makes my tongue swell up and I can't breathe not to mention I have enough trouble without toothpaste, namely my teeth then hurting and bleeding all like hell for the next few hours.

I think the problem I have might stem from my old dentist though as he was a complete dick, his equipment was never clean and was from the 1970's. The last time I saw him I was 15, about a week from turning 16. At the time, UK law stated that persons under 16 that recieve a filling must be given a white one, I told him right then and there that if he did not give me a white one I would be mad as the old one was black, but I was willing to overlook this if he fixed it that day. He didn't use anything to numb the tooth, he just drilled right in with the blunt old drill and shoved a new filling in there. I was leaving the practise when I noticed a mirror, I looked in that and noticed the big black thing stuck in my tooth, I was quite angry. Needless to say I marched back up the stairs, he was working on some other guy, I yelled at the dentist and the guy who was being tortured yelled at me, I was taken off the books rather promptly after this. The filling cracked about a week later too.

Slightly better news; The guy I bought that Casio from posted it out today and a refund for a broken graphics card should clear in the next 24 hours. I'm broke right now - I'm not totally broke, I just can't buy luxuries right now - Actually I'm kinda glad I skipped the dentist as my mother was going to pay for that and she's got very little money herself. Much as I would pay it back, I'd still feel bad about it.

What't the problem with drilling teeths? Ask for an anaesthesia if you worry about the pain.

Trust me, when you have a rotten tooth, you'll regret not having something done sooner.

I hate to say this, but a lot of medical offices have a zero tolerance policy for yelling at their staff.

Could become infected then you'll be in big trouble.

You need to floss more. See, if people don't floss their teeth, the bacteria builds up and sticks to the teeth. If there's too much, the tooth can separate from the gum tissue and fall out. Teeth are extremely expensive to replace.

That's probably the most ridiculous "best games ever" list I've seen yet; inclusions, exclusions, order - PC Gamer gets it wrong on all levels.
