I'm guessing you're trolling, but the Avengers isn't a crossover.

Its a group of superheroes that have been a team off and on for at least 40 years now in the comics. ( said the old timer )

BTW, that union button would have triggered a Blue Lightning rant if he was here. :)

I have played Duke Nukem: Zero Hour a little. It's funny when you think I spent so much time working with Duke 64 and never played much attention to that "sequel".

Everything screams Build engine on it, and would have made a great game if it was in first-person and didn't had such changes in the dynamics.

Plus it is fun to export the geometry:

This is the guy I work for. No wonder there's a 95% chance to strike. Most of the issues boil down to lack of hours, better wages and treatment of workers (despite the company raking in huge profits). My bosses I work for are cool, but I think it's all the suits in upper management which is where the issue is.

So Jeff, are you with the strikers? Why/why not?

Yep I'm with them. Lack of hours (I used to work 15-20 hours a week). For the last year or so I've only worked between 4-8 hours per week.

Strike vote is in August, but this is just the pre-strike warm up.

I'll give this one response and then let it drop before I get too carried away. After reading a number of the links provided, the only real thing that bothered me is if it is true that expired goods were left too long on the shelves. Almost everything else is the owner's and managments rights to run their company as they please and rake in the cash as long as they commit no crimes. Someone in one of the articles complained of the "lack of democracy" in the stores. They are not "the people's" stores. The boss is king generally speaking.

Marvel comics are all interconnected. Spiderman is like the fifth Beatle of the Fantastic Four for example.

I don't know about any other things regarding the strike, other than the hours. Least what the union reps told me. At the end of the day, as long as I can get three shifts a week instead of two or one on a regular basis, I'll be a happy man.

Striking you'll get no shifts a week, but that is a red herring.

Getting more hours sounds like the type of thing to talk to a manager about but if that doesn't work, something else is going on.

They either have too many people working for them to give sufficient hours to everyone, the manager doesn't want to give you more hours (the ass), or they have a policy of keeping people part time so they don't have to give them benefits (because full time people have lots of expensive benefits).

Either way, that sucks. I remember when I worked part time trying to get as many hours as possible...

WOO HOO. Its like finding money in the street. Almost. I was going through a pile of old receipts and check stubs looking to throw out the un-needed ones. I found a check stub with my paycheck still attached. I've got about a week to go before the 180 day expiration date. And I thought this was going to be a bad day because it started out with no morning newspaper delivery and only enough Wheaties in the box for half a bowl.

You threw away two weeks worth of pay? With money management skills like yours, no wonder you only have enough Wheaties for half a bowl.

I recall Mark once saying that he was adequately putting enough money away for retirement.

I usually let the checks pile up before getting the ambition to go to the bank. Someday I'll sign up for direct deposit. And buy extra boxes of cereal. :)

I modified my UT99 to make it look like DN3D. I've just changed all the players to Duke skins, and the weapons to match DN3D. Too bad I did not make screenshots showing the M16 and the pipebombs, but we can see the shrinker/expander and the freezethrower.

(note: due to the hugue size of my post because of the screenshots, I added them in spoilers)

A shrunken player. Splat.
Spoiler

The freezethrower. Act indentically like the original in DN3D
Spoiler

The green player is on the effect of the expander. Like a bubble.
Spoiler

Me being shrunk :D
Spoiler

Killed myself with freezethrower :)
Spoiler

I have also the DNF player model for UT2004, maybe I'll try to do some cool screenshots with him...

Old and from the U.S. so one might assume English is a primary language. His spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure are atrocious. Must be from Arkansas or Louisiana. I wouldn't trust this guy to read a script without a translator. I'm guessing Duke would end up with a deep southern hick accent. Maybe he should be advertising his voice overs for Redneck Rampage.

i had to spend two years in Texas that i will never get back, so it's my prerogative...no, my right, to make fun of southerners

10 worst school systems (academically) by state (2012):
1. South Dakota - worst
2. Nevada
3. Idaho
4. Mississippi
5. Alaska
6. Nebraska
7. Montana
8. Arizona
9. Oregon
10. Missouri

seems the northwestern part of the country is the dumbest with four out of ten (if you count Alaska). (3,5,7.9)

10 best school systems (academically) by state (2012):
1. Maryland - best
2. Massachusetts
3. New York
4. Virginia
5. Arkansas
6. Florida
7. Georgia
8. New Jersey
9. West Virginia
10. Kentucky

seems the northeast has the best education system - Arkansas ranks at a respectable # 5, but i'm still going to make fun of them
