I stroked my chin this afternoon and realized that I have to shave tonight for my interview tomorrow.

I can't fall asleep, but too sleepy to play, read or watch anything.

Time for a new ambient music then, which bandcamp provides. Cause I surely don't want to listen to anything I have.

I've tried, it never works out well. It doesn't look good on me at all. Besides, there are 2 reasons why I would shave:

1) A scruffy (half grown in) beard is not a professional look. I need to shave, not I have a beard. If I had a beard, it wouldn't be a problem unless I knew the company had a strict policy regarding hair. Of course, I'm going for a job so I'm going for professional and clean cut.

2) My girlfriend has forbidden it. Grant it, she is leaving at the end of the month, but I know I can't grow a decent beard.

What's the job? Do you need to deal with the clients? Cause if you're not I woudn't give a rat's ass about company's opinion about how should my face look.

Some US corporation have policies about facial hair. You have them and you wont get the job. There are studies out there equating beards from men with a strong personality all the way down to street bum. It's not what you think but what the interviewer thinks. Posted Image

This job would actually deal with some clients.

It is about looking clean. If I had a beard like Commander Riker, I could probably get away with it. However, I have beard more like Michael Jackson. I can't grow a decent beard so I don't even try.

Now, my brother...he can grow a mean beard...or mustache.

Congratulations black man! How did you ask?

Thanks guys. It was kind of crazy, I was driving a bit too fast to try to catch the sun setting on the cliffs where we first went on holiday together, and as it had been raining earlier the roads were a bit wet.
I went around a sharp turn too fast and braked (bad idea) my car fishtailed and and the back spun out and made 1 and a 1/2 rotations before I could get it to stop.
Amazingly there was no damage and we were ok, the road was small so if a car had of been coming at us or behind us it would be game over, so we were both a bit shocked.
I got to the spot in time to catch the last of the sun and got down on one knee and popped the question, she was already in a state of shock so that was a double combo!

Then it depends on the policies in place. Like or not, it your start looking like a slob (a beard can look groomed), your chances of promotion may be reduced.

Sample, Canadian:
Our public transportation system allows beards, long hair etc. you name it. It is simpler that way. Some people actually need a beard to please their god.

Some Restaurants are very strict in the attire of their waiters to please their clientèle. Pony Tail, beard, or the full fledged Sikh hair outfit does not work well.

I love that kind of music to sleep to, you should try watching/listening to this if you have trouble sleeping it's an awesome film. It's called Journey To The Edge of The Universe, I downloaded it and watched it over a hundred times.

That's a cool cat, I used to have on that looked exactly like that, having said that I reckon my cat (Mouse) would kick Cosmo's ass if it came to it. ;)

I wish I had a cat, but I doubt he'll understand the importance of not breaking/scrapping stuff.

Cats don't break stuff they move like ninjas everywhere, they might scrape some chair legs but you can stop them (they do respond to training just not like mutts) or get a scratching post.
Dogs break things, but that's ok dogs are a lot of fun so it's worth it. I have had cats all my life and can't think of a single thing one broke.

So it basically comes down to training? How long do you need to tend after a kitty before it grows?

I still think I'm gonna regret it. The cat will be bored to tears during the day thus will try to entertain itself. Curiosity will result in scratched stuff or something.
