I know I'm going to get pointy rocks thrown at me for saying this, but am I the only one who found that movie to be a least a little bit funny?

I've got such a sick sense of humor by the way. :)

Oh that "new" DNF 2001 trailer is awesome, and very well done.

Oh I agree, it's one of the worst movies ever made. But there were brief, although fleeting, moments of hilarity.

Some movies, like The Room, are so bad they're hilarious and good on some level. Freddie Got Fingered is not one of those movies... It's just... bad. :)

A huge lightning bolt struck next to my house on Saturday night, damaging two desktop computers and my router. No stores were open the next day (Easter) and it has taken me this long, after several mishaps and misdiagnoses, to be able to connect to the internet again from home. And yes, I had surge protectors, but they obviously weren't good enough...the amount of electricity from a lightning bolt is enormous.

Should probably post here more often. People were probably wondering if something happened to me.

Anyone got an LMSI CD-ROM Drive they wanna sell?

I've never actually built my own 386 before, but my first PC was a 386(Am386SX-25), it's going to be jelous of this thing. Kinda weird really , considering I've built a 286 and several 486's over the years. I'm going to try and eat my spare parts inventory on this as much as I can and avoid getting new parts. I also hope Atari ST 30-Pin SIMM works in this because they are all I can get at a reasonable price, I believe them to be the same. I have some SIMM in my inventory but I believe it is defective as the 486 it came out of used to crash a lot before it was upgraded to EDO.

Not sure what video card I want for this, I ran out of ISA ones a while back, it'll be VGA though, I don't see a point in messing with EGA or CGA as I can run these fine on a VGA card and have it work with my gear out of the box (or static bag it shipped in) - probably get my hands on a big Everex or something overkill like that, my 286 runs one so it's bound to work on this.

It's going to be fun comparing a DX-33 with Math Co-Processor against the SX-25 alone, probably more fun comparing it with the 80286 (6MHz) also without coprocessor.

I figured you've decided these forums were unredeemable and left.

386? Yuck. Boring.

I have an AMD 5x86 overclocked to 160MHz. That thing hauls. It's a 486 with double the L1 cache. Itn can run Quake if you set the window size down a bit.

I haven't harbored any ill feelings towards anyone here. Guess I just busy with other stuff like I said.

Was this lightning blue by any chance? I have seen what that stuff does to threads so I can only imagine the destruction it would reap on a computer and router, you are lucky if you still have a roof.

This March was the coldest in 30 years or something. It's April so it's supposed to be spring but the snow cover has barely moved, apart from the trees (view from my window):

Same in Ireland, just not as much snow but still some. It's not at all normal, the past few years we have been having unusual weather.
