I tried that of course. It works in-game, but when I launch it again I'm still running like on Olympics.

Hmm, now I tried changing it again and it memorised my choice after relaunch. Strange. Thanks anyway.

In most modern games this is true. You are not able to shoot on ladders. In fact, in some games, you aren't even allowed to control how you go up ladders - ladders, if they are even in the game, are usable objects in the game world that you "use" and then the PC climbs the ladder for you with no interaction on your part.

I am actually still bothered by any FPS that does not have Full Body Awareness. Frankly, I am disappointed in Deus Ex 3 for it's lack of FBA. You can take "cover" in third person, but you have no body otherwise? WTF? The game isn't even that old...

That said, DE:HR is my all time favorite FPS, and my third favorite game of all time.

Skyrim has the same problem. No shadow from a character in 1st person because there is no model in that view. Pretty stupid.

BF3 has awesome, smooth player movements, including Full Body Awareness. I love the way the character jumps over obstacles, actually using his hands.

OK, that is some bull shit right there. How does a game like Skyrim get away with that? It isn't like they needed to make cuts for performance reasons or anything. That is just poor design right there. I mean, you move the camera from over the shoulder to into the head or, if you have to, right in front of the head.

That is just damn frustrating. FBA was fancy and new (in "modern" games with 3D) 10 years ago. That was even before the last generation of consoles so there really is no excuse for not including it.
