Rigged up Firefox with anisotropic filtering (16x), as well as 16xQ multusampling and 8x supersampling. Stuff looks a lot better now. Did it with the Nvidia Control Panel.

Someone made a joke on one of the Harbinger videos saying: Miranda, viable possibility. Impressive sexual potential.

Earlier today, a soccer ball was kicked into my thigh really hard at basically point blank range. Now it hurts to walk. Still, if it hit a few inches to the right then I'd really be in trouble!

I'd say I was underwhelmed at the scene in ME2...compared to ME1, anyway. But, yeah...Miranda...unspeakable things, I tell you, unspeakable things.

Floppy disks? It's hard to come across a computer that with a floppy disk drive these days. This computer I'm on now I must have gotten in 2007, and had a floppy disk drive installed as an added feature, I'm not sure if you can still do that, they're more obsolete than records.

Records being obsolete is actually a matter of opinion. Albums are still being produced on vinyl nowadays and it has a niche amongst people who prefer the warm sound of vinyl esp. combined with tube amplifiers and also DJ's. Floppy disks on the other hand have no such niche market.... just thought I'd point that out. :(

BTW, you can still order a PC with a floppy disk drive from various places they are cheap enough that they can toss them in without batting an eye. There isn't much reason to these days however.. also anyone buying that copy of doom would be buying it for collectors purposes and not to stick the disk in to their computer and install it. There are other more accessible and cheaper alternatives than that these days.

The thing is, most vinyls pressed today use the CD masters (no extra quality) and are therefore inferior due to analog degradation.

That's too bad.. I bet there are people who prefer that anyway due to the way it sounds to them during playback however. Actually I would argue that many vinyl records pressed throughout history suffered from analog degradation due to the inherent nature of analog but people still prefer it anyway.

Heh, they're not really for playing. :( Anyone who wants to just play such games can buy them on Steam for a few bucks. I guess someone could break out an old 386 or 486 and install these but the point is more that they're original copies from almost 2 decades ago.

Another Antonov 124 took off yesterday. Those are quite a sight when they are here. The Antonov 225 was last here in 2003 or so.

You could probably just transfer a copy over the network or via sneakernet to it and not have to over pay for a collectors copy. I remember having a LAN party with DOS based machines before so yes this is highly possible. :(

He does flight sims, you expect him to not have a wide desktop?

Also, I don't see Bioware on any of those signs. Maybe it is a secret base. :(

I just typed in Bioware into Google Earth and that's what it came up with. I know they are from Edmonton, Alberta Canada, so that has to be their headquarters.

There are people with 3-5 monitors for FSX. Crazy. And this one guy had 8 monitors. Could have just settled for a projector on a 100 inch screen if you ask me.

Don't get too grossed by this, but two heads are better than one

Well, yah! That's why I watched it. Has an interesting vibe.

Also, haven't thought of it as a comedy before reading it's genre as "dark comedy" on Wiki and seing it being nominated as Comedy on Golden Globes. It it amusing in lots of scenes, but it never striked me to call it "comedy". Maybe because it felt too real. Especially with Macy's performance.
