You know, if I see Crysis on the cheap end, I might buy it....I played the demo or something ages ago.

Try DNF, here is a link from a street fight in DNF from IGN, before they realized negative reviews gets you more attention.

Or FSX. I turned all the settings on ultra high, and I was only getting 18 FPS. Even at 5 GHz. Like Crysis, FSX isn't optimized that well. It came out just when Hyperthreading and multicore chips were first on the market (2006). It is said that Microsoft Flight (FS11), will be better optimized. With SLI, hyperthreading, and proper multicore support. FSX supports multicore, but most of the work is done by the first CPU. The rest of them are used, but not that much. Microsoft Flight should be released in 2011 or 2012. Although sources are hinting at a November 2011 release date. Flight will be less CPU dependent and more GPU dependent. Some people are saying that with a Sandy Bridge system at stock speed and a GTX 480 or higher, you should be able to max everything out and get good framerates.

Wow...that guy sucks at FPS. I have a $20 Gamestop card so I'll check out the online store and see what I can get for that. I have no real money to spend since bills and all that shit are raping me.

That, coupled with the fact that the billing address was nowhere even similar to the name on the PayPal account my money went to (not to mention the account has no address listed and is foreign) leads me to believe the guy is laundering money through eBay by listing items he doesn't have, using a stolen credit card to buy them and ship them to buyers and pocketing the resulting money through use of a throwaway PayPal account.
It's not exactly clever but it works I guess.

Edit: Does anyone know the way of spelling jail in Australian english is actually gaol? That's how you're supposed to spell it (I think it comes from brittish english). And normally I always prefer the Australian spelling of words over American, like colour instead of color for instance.
But I don't like it for 2 reasons. Firstly, phonetically it looks like it should be pronounced "gay-all." And secondly, it's super easy to confuse it with the word "goal" if you're skimming through stuff. "Jail" just looks so much more natural.

Well, the grapheme G actually has a few distinct phonemes attached to it. There is the voiced velar plosive (guttural, broadly) sound that comes from the back of the throat (guh). This sound is derivative of unvocalized gutturals in Arabic and Hebrew. There is also the voiced alveolar palatal that is sounded more from the front of the mouth along the lines of palatals or sibilants (juh). This results in names like Gerry and Jerry both being pronounced the same (or not). George, for example, is a name pronounced with the alveolar palatal rather than the guttural.
So, in that case, gaol could be phonetically pronounced the same, more or less, as the jail.

I have to go to the hospital tomorrow. I've got some serious food poisoning. I've been shitting melted rocky road ice cream for a week. I'm too faint and sick to drive now.
I bought a Gopher just in case I get stuck in a hospital. Hell, it's good to have regardless. $60 with a 2GB SD card and I can play nearly every Genesis game ever on it. Too bad the sound quality is haggard due to the poor sound emulation.

I love my Sega Nomad like a son but it's way too impractical for day to day use.

I got a 1.5TB Western Digital Caviar Green for $99 about 18 months ago. It works like a dream, but I only have 80 GB free on it now.
I'm a bit worried that such a large drive may crash, even though SMART is shining, Western Digital rocks, and I've had no problems, so whenever I get a new rig, I'll get two identical drives and use RAID0/RAID1, whichever simply has them both act as the same drive redundantly.

Work isn't about work. I mean it is, but there should be time for small talk. Still, I'm probably going to be looking for a new job in the fall. I don't plan on having a career putting stuff back on shelves.
