"Backstory: one of my relatives beat the shit out of me with a chain when I was a kid (7 years old). I suffered a traumatic brain injury and have been disabled since that time. I have dozens of symptoms, both physical and metal that stem from that incident. I collect SSI payments and receive food stamps because I cannot work a "real" job."

In the latest episode of the compounding clusterfuck that is my life, my power got turned off at 8 this morning. I got it turned back on but they wanted the ENTIRE balance plus a reconnection fee. Ugh.

I kind of understand where you're coming from. I'm in the same "line of work" so to speak. When it's great, it's great. When it's shit, it's really shit. Sometimes I'll get a good paying job, $12 to $13 an hour and I kick it's ass. Do everything perfect and faster than other people they've paid before. Then shit dries up. It's really the shittiest line of work to be in if you have responsibilities or the want to do more with your life. I can kinda get by and I have no contractual bills or debts. I couldn't imagine trying to take care of a family on the shit I make.

I volunteered my way into my current job. Currently sorting files and scanning documents and such. Pay is pretty decent ($17-22 per hour). I also have a brain injury, but the circumstances are different.

I don't know about you, but when I renamed eduke32.exe to breakfast.exe, it somehow changed all the internal coding as well! Started making sandwiches.

One of my suggestions I had for Origin seems to have been implemented recently. They now have a repair function on older games that wasn't there before.
