Why did you add new weapons and items instead of the original ones?

I thought it would be better for a change

Nice mod and a bit scary.

But how do i play this with polymost, without HRP and polymer, when I tried this out with 8-bit resolution and it crashes at random locations in the 2nd and the 3rd (final) map?

What EDuke32 version do you have? I remember I tested it in 8 bit on latest versions and they didn't crash

Did you do the cutscenes with this LeBuild or what?

The cutscene code is in A.DREAM.CON.

I really like the cutscenes in this mod. I'd like to learn and create my own ones anytime.

Hello

I really want to play these 3 levels.
But the file is not compatible with the last eduke32. How can I play with it?

A fixed version is included in the Addon Compilation. You may try that one. It has recently received some fixes related to crashes with more recent EDuke32 builds.

I have a problem.
1) If I choose to launch eDuke32 by setting "Custom Game Content Directory" to "Add-on", I get an error message:
"Found 2 warning(s), 20 error(s) in CON fils.
Continue with internak versions of all scripts?"
If yes: "Found 375 warning(s), 20 error(s) in CON files". And the game doesn't start.
If no: "Found 2 warning(s), 20 error(s) in CON files".
2) If I choose to launch eDuke32 by setting "None", it's impossible to find the level in User Map (none appears).

What should I do?

That's not how this works. You are supposed to launch the addon from the selection menu you see in the launcher. I don't know how you set this up, but you are probably struggling with some major file conflict.

You need four files for a minimum setup:
- In your EDuke32 root dir: addons.bat
- In the "addons" subdir: addons.grpinfo, addons_wt.bak, dreamtrilogy.grp

Then launch with addons.bat and select the addon through the selection menu of the EDuke32 launcher. "Custom game content directory" should be set to "None".

Indeed, thank you, it's for the better. I did just as you describe.
I've tried other add-ons, but when I launch Dream Trilogy, I always get an error message (it's the only add-on on which I get an error message).

"Found 2 warning(s), 1 error(s) in CON files.
Continue with internal versions of all scripts?

If I say yes, the game launches but "crashes" at the same level as before, i.e. in the first room with the cash register (almost at the very beginning).

If I say no, the game doesn't launch.

I suppose there's a conflict somewhere, but where? how can I detect it?

What I can still think of:
- Autoload disabled
- No def or con files (especially no duke3d.def, user.con or game.con) in the root EDuke32 dir
- Update EDuke32 to latest version
- Provide your eduke32.log for further error analysis

It should look similar to this in the logs:
30.2657s INFO| Using dreamtrilogy.grp as main data file.
30.2710s CON| Compiling: scripts/dreamtrilogy.con (148296 bytes)
30.2754s CON| Including: scripts/dreamtrilogy_defs.con (45033 bytes)
30.2782s CON| Including: scripts/dreamtrilogy_user.con (50972 bytes)
30.3163s CON| Including: scripts/dreamtrilogy_extra.con (78008 bytes)
30.3210s CON| Including: scripts/dreamtrilogy_weapons.con (13041 bytes)

I just checked by myself, the mod loads and operates just fine.
