The room was like, the size of a sardine can, with a bunch of GBX developers around 360 degrees. I doubt they would have been able to get away with it.

To be able to film that trailer you would need to have one of those hidden button cameras that nobody sees even when you keep it in plain sight.
It's not impossible to get such a camera but for that to happen there, it would heave meant that the person going inside knew what was about to happen.
The way I see it, everybody that went inside was in for a surprise. Nobody knew in advance that they are going to show a trailer that is not allowed to get on film...

Your probably right, but i think that the surprise was that you where going to be able to play DNF, not that there would be a trailer playing.
