Is a shame though, it had a good collection of maps etc. didn't really care for the Nazi controlled forums though.

Nope, it's not on archive.org, shit. Don't bother handing me another guide, it will suck.
Edit: Does anyone have contact details for the admin of DNR? It's a long shot but we may be able to get a copy of the site.

Seriously if it wasn't down would you release any map? That's a good excuse for your laziness.

His email address that was listed went to no where and got no reply, but I know the guy who has the map guide will upload it somewhere and hopefully post a link here at some point because that link was very useful.

Now I think I should move and stay here. These might be the best Duke forums around here. I hope I won´t be disappointed here!

Kim is the question mark here. As the Commander already pointed out, the email address he listed is no longer operational. There's no way to contact him.
But we should assume that he checks the mainpage every once in a while.

I would suggest asking Yatta or one of the other admins here to make a Main Duke Nukem Topic here that's mainly about user maps, mods, TCs and W.I.P.s instead of posting under the main "Duke Nukem 3D Modifications/Official EDuke32 Discussion" topic
I have the latest down-loadable version of the Informational Suite on my hard drive. Nukey can probably be contacted to see what he wants to do with the suite. Maybe it could be added to the Duke3D links on the left side of the front page.
More focus towards MSDN on the front page or under a new "User Made Maps" topic should be made, now that it's the only place to download the newest releases.

Seeing what else I can do now.
Edit: I'm retrieving the reviews and stuff now, but it's going really slowly.

Quite a few of the maps at DN-R can be found at MSDN. It's the format in which they were sorted that makes it easier to find by name or author that made it good, but it'd still be great if you could recover the files and reviews.
The thing about the DN-R forum that kinda lacks here is it gave a place for mappers to show off and share their work. Here the posts about maps get a rather luke-warm response for the most part, then they're lost in the mix.
Don't get me wrong. I've been haunting this forum, even before the exodus from the 3DR forum when I also decided to make an account, but I'm not too savy on mods and code, so I really have nothing to post about. I'm more of a map person. That's my reason for the push for more attention to MSDN, since it's the last dedicated map site left standing.
Guess my new hangout's going to be in the "What are you working on right Now" thread.
Well, if you do manage to recover some of the DN-R files and reviews, I hope you plan do more with it than sticking it in some archive just to be gawked at and forgotten. (your Duke3D maps download page could use the boost)

Section says this:
Duke Nukem 3D Modifications/Official EDuke32 Discussion
Discuss EDuke32, mods and editing Duke Nukem 3D, Build/Mapster, the source code, the HRP, user maps, CON code and whatever else!
Subforums: Random questions, bug reports, "help me" threads and other unexciting things
Forum Led by: TX, Plagman, Mblackwell
I think that says quite clearly what kind of topics it contains or should contain, whether release of the map or map project you are working on - or whatever else!.

I'm sure most of us here know you. Not personally, but like myself, knowing your name having played your excellent maps. You now have a new home, welcome!

Mapping would fall in as a sub-catagory in the format you already have here. I also believe that a dedicated sub forum to user maps would be a grand solution.

I think what he's saying is if you put all maps and mods in one subforum there's a good chance there might be so many big projects in there that the smaller ones will get ignored. Or not.
