Fake multiplayer not working anymore in new version of eduke32

When parsing the -q8 -a command parameters on eduke32, the AI mode still doesn't work.

No AI players are crawling around. Bug was discovered when enrolling the new version in order to use the HRP.
Since the HRP takes awfully long to load any level, I doisabled it but still eduke32 was messed.

Then purged the ENTIRE directory and reinstalled eduke32 -> NO work of the params.

Last known version where this worked fine was built 2009 in december.
Unfortunately there's no way to get the old files which annoys me to death since other projects keep a tracking history on their sourceforge project page.
Sometimes new versions aren't always good, and having no possibility to get older versions of eduke32 to roll back can annoy much more <_<

Thank you for the link.

Yep... that version appears to work fine. Versions befor 1590 show one line of the mp bar but no playername is parsed and the rest of the fields is blank.

So the break appeard to happen between 1551 and 1556.

Do you know what happened or why that feature has been disabled in the newer versions?

Probably something to do with the new netcode.

The fake multiplayer code is pretty poor, so it hasn't been a high priority to fix it when working on the new multiplayer code.

Ah okay... will keep waiting then or run 2 different installations of eduke32 since I use the AI mode for testing (and sometimes fun clashing) purposes.

best regards

Like to add some other things too
When I use the -server line in eduke32 I get to multiplayer, I can get friends to connect too but I have a few major issues
Fire doesnt flicker like fire so it doesnt hurt
Harmful floors wont do damage
And the main problem is, im playing a user map with my friends called Cloud War, someone fell off and when they hit the ground the game froze up
I will upload my eduke log too I think this shoudl be fixed soon

EDIT: Just did this in Vanilla Duke got the same problems above but the last one is different, the game will close instanly when the player suicides to the ground
SO i uploaded another log
