Sintax changes in def language in recent builds  "why do old def files don´t load properly on newer build?"

I´ve retaken a project and updated the binaries on it. Surprisingly tiles and models don´t load properly anymore. I get black stuff eveywhere. Putting the old binaries back (from 2019) fixes the issue. So I guess there´s some update on the DEF syntax that is preventing them to load properly.

This is the only warning the log reads:

1.8101s ERROR| Found no recognized game data!
1.8137s WARN| Unable to open (none).

Any hint of where to start looking?

Does this mystery project include an autoexec.cfg file? I seem to remember that there were changes around 2020 which could result in autoexec causing skyboxes and other things to appear as black boxes.

EDIT: Try moving your autoexec and any other cfg files out of the folder and delete any cache files as well and see what happens

I was trying to open it with mapster, however, tried to remove its autoexec but that didn´t work. It´s not only skyboxes but like %70 of tiles, sprites, etc are black.

I bet it´s something related to the resources loading priorities or def language.

Well, went through a few versions until i found the only one not working was https://dukeworld.du...458-2b937f1e2/. Luckily there´s one that came one day after, in which it´s fixed. Thanks for the help!
