Does the transport elevator "Z-eating" bug persist in EDuke32?

There is a bug with the Transport Elevator effect that causes it to "eat" the height range between its destinations one Z-unit at a time. Eventually it will eat the entire range, until it is teleporting between the destinations instantaneously, and then the elevator will take one last trip in the wrong direction for all eternity. If you've ever wondered why the Transport Elevators in the game travel such ridiculously long distances, this is why. Constructing an extra long distance between the destinations will ensure that the player will virtually never encounter this bug.

This is kind of personal, because back when I mapped, I liked making elevator/stair loops but kept running into this bug, and since I didn't know what it was, I always assumed it was because I did something wrong.

I think this one is fixed, but the project has been ongoing for so long now that I don't really remember every last fix anymore. I do remember running into this during really long Dukematches on maps like L.A. Meltdown way back in the day though.

Hah, so that's what that bug was. I remember reproducing it many times when screwing around in Duke3D as a kid.

I think this was most easily reproduced in Nuclear Winter E2L2 inside the Toilet Elevator that leads to one of the keycards. Use it a bunch of times and it will inevitably lead to the elevator going in one direction forever.

I was never able to reproduce it in eduke32, so I agree, this was most likely fixed.
