Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error

After a few years of hiatus, I decided to play EDuke32 again. The last version I had installed was EDuke32 r6437 (Built Aug 27 2017 03:49:13, GCC 7.2.0, 64-bit). It launched without a problem. However, I decided to update it to the latest version: EDuke32 r10115-d496daf54 (Built Jul 9 2022 12:17:11, GCC 10.0.0, 64-bit). Unfortunately, the following error appeared when I tried to boot:

None of the methods described in this video helped: https://www.youtube....h?v=gRHr2DB0LE0 - bcdedit, repair and uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ packages and reinstall them, install AIO Runtimes.

Here are the Microsoft Visual C++ packages I have installed:

I would like to add that I am using the following OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (build 6.1.7601).

What could be causing the latest version of EDuke32 to crash and the old one working fine?

For 9x-2000 use eduke32-W95-3
For 98-ME with Kernelex use eduke32_win32_20210221-9314-a2d4c2794
For 2000 use eduke32_win32_20100425-1623
For XP 32 and 64 then eduke32_win32_20211006-9631-cbb598f10 (win64 should work as well)
For Vista and 7 32 and 64 and < OpenGL 2.0 then eduke32_win32_20211006-9651-a891732fd (win64 should work as well)
For Vista and 7 32 and 64 and OpenGL 2.0 eduke32_win32_20211112-9782-661883a52 should work (win64 should work as well)

The reason XP, Vista and 7 don't work is they started requiring newer Windows 10 APIs so use the above or fork and fix.

If you don't have an issue with BuildGDX then v1.16 will work on 9x (with kernelex), 2000 BWC and XP+ as long as you use a 32bit ver of Java with the 32bit OS, if 64bit then use 32bit or 64bit java.
For Vista+ rednukem_win32_20220117-12734 should work.
For XP rednukem_win32_20211015-12587 should work
For Vista 64 you can try Raze 0.9.0 (last ver I tested but newer versions may work)

If testing eduke32 builds in vmware make sure you disable graphics acceleration otherwise you'll get a black screen.

I can run the latest EDuke32 snapshot (r10188) x86(win32) and x64(win64) builds in Win7 so I'm sure the "requiring newer Windows 10 APIs" is NOT true at all. Unless I missed something?

Not sure if you're still around to read this but you may have run into this issue:
https://www.vogons.o...108895#p1108895

If so make sure that the game resolution isn't set higher than your desktop resolution.
