I recommend that you not use Polymer when taking screenshots of in-game models. When I saw the Enforcer pic I thought you had given the skin a reddish hue (which looks bad) until I noticed that it was actually a light on the model.

The blackish liztroop skin you made is interesting. It really looks like a different enemy that way.

dt : yehyeh he didnt turn out too bad, iam just not happy about his mouth, might learn a bit of modeling so i can flatten his face and get a proper mask, then i might be able to do a visor instead of a balaclava

Here is that edf solly skin i was working on, could never get the helmet to sit right so here is a duke nukem edf uniform skin
for you guys to use however you want, looks pretty good actually.

edit : updated with gloves and better looking camo.

That is looking a lot better. If it's an EDF uniform then shouldn't the EDF logo be somewhere on the shirt? Or is that what the weird thing on the shoulder that looks like a face is supposed to be?


Maybe you could steal the symbol from the EDF of Godzilla movies?

oh i ripped that one direct from the 1999 screen where the guy is getting ripped by the tentical heh, ill give him a try with one of those godzilla ones tho see how that looks

well here here he is with proper logos, redone shading alround to be more consistant, and blackened sunnies.
this would be great for the dukebots

I liked the normal Duke EDF model but turning him into a red/brown guy really f*cks it up. It's not really clever, more "lol i picked a random colour lol"

Guys i think is possible have this different duke texture in Duke PLus whit a simple trick!

You know the "PAL" colour system? well, the .DEF coding associate different texture to the different pallet number colour assegnated, like this:

skin { pal 14 surface 1 file "highres/sprites/characters/1405_duke_14.png" }
skin { pal 15 surface 1 file "highres/sprites/characters/1405_duke_15.png" }
skin { pal 16 surface 1 file "highres/sprites/characters/1405_duke_16.png" }
skin { pal 21 surface 1 file "highres/sprites/characters/1405_duke_21.png" }
skin { pal 23 surface 1 file "highres/sprites/characters/1405_duke_23.png" }


If we, for example, take the blackskin soldier and associate to pal 12, in 2d mode we see a standard differet coloured duke but in 3d mode we see the the new skin and the duke normal skin together. :blink:

Try to test this whit "Blackend" map.

His skin is too red.

Great job on all the skins!

Here's how the pals are currently coded, for when bots spawn from the player:

pal 0 pistol
pal 14 Medic with pistol
pal 12 Freezer
pal 10,21 Rocket launcher
pal 23 Chaingun
pal 16 Shotgun

Sometimes they have multiple weapons, and I'm not sure which color has priority in that case, but I think the medic is always pal 14. The color scheme does not apply to bots placed in maps, that's up to the mapper.

Really nice skins, it actually reminded me of one I did back in 2005 of the Liztroop. Was using them for a mod back where some aliens were resurrected quasi-deads.
