Today's dinner was buttered bread dipped in bean soup and half of a glass of milk with hersheys chocolate syrup. No desert.

It’s called Sauerbraten mit Knödeln.
The recipe is handed down from my Grandmother. Takes four days to make, but …

We had this on Christmas, my fav. The image is from the internet.
The only thing that takes the time, is to let the beef marinade, for 3-4 days. The rest is just to stick it in the oven, and play with the kids.
If you love to cook, and do it right, this meat will be so tender, no need for a knife to eat it. :)

Made this today, a bit healthier than bbq ribs.

Bulgur and chickensalad with chickpeas and fresh basil and cherry tomatoes. The bulgur was boiled in vegetablebroth. I also had avocado and fetacheese as compliments which are missing in the picture. Tasted very nice.

Lental soup (on the thicker side). With a turkish yoghurt sauce/thingie on top, and sourdough bread to go with it. Pretty good stuff.

This forum has me taking pics of my food in public like I'm some instagram chick.

Lamb biryani from an Indian place. I had some great samosas right before too.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE restaurant pizza. It is so oily, buttered up, fried, and nasty. So I only eat homemade. Here is this week's buffalo chicken pizza.

Too much of it makes it too oily after cooking. There definitely is some cheese but just a little.

Fried pizza. Really?

It's oven baked. Pre heated to 400 degrees F and baked for 23 minutes. It's not fried; not a hint of oil anywhere. I don't even put oil on the pan. Luckily it never sticks.

Not your pizza. You claim restaurants make fried pizza. I don't know how that would even work. I guess you could bake a pizza first and then fry it, but that sounds more like a novelty you could maybe find at a state fair than anything a restaurant would do.

I think he's talking about really bad, cheap pizza chains where the pizza is so greasy that it causes a fried texture on top when cooking. So not literally fried, but the top of the pizza has so much oil that it's bubbling and sizzling.

I know pizza chains aren't technically fried pizza, but they produce so much oil that in the process of baking they are practically cooking in it. Then once they put it in the box, the box gets all oily too and the bottom crust gets soggy because it can't air out. That's why I place the pizza directly on a wire rack after baking. It's actually a critical part of the cooling process and it allows the crust to stay crunchy.

In parts of italy (naples and further south) fried pizza is a common specialty. Basically it's more like a calzone (ie folded up pizza, kinda like a giant wonton/dumpling) which they fry in oil. It's delicious!

Pizza, with little or no cheese i.e. naked or scarcely dressed.

Until tonight I did not even know why I can't stand Pizza. Now I know how to do this myself! – Thanks Radar 100 Watts!

And tonight, we’ll eat Steak Tartar with a raw egg on top, or two or three. Yes, discussing to most. But hey. Just need to pay attention on how to age the beef properly and where get fresh eggs from the (somewhat now illegal in PC country), farmer directly.
p.s. I tried to do a DuckDuckGo for an image, no luck. And I don't have a smart phone to make a picture of our meal.

Buttered corn meal muffins fresh out of the oven, Bush's baked beans, unsweetened Cinnamon applesauce, washed down with a glass of cold water. 2 chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
I'm living the good life baby.
