The sector with the curve is a separate sector from the inclined one. It's completely flat.

Yeah I remember the extreme shortage of modelers back in the day. I figured I'd try to do something about that.

Worked a lot.
Including coding and foggy area downstairs.

Also might work on an item we find that is a slayer for the boss of the level 5.
Most bosses has "slayers". Some thing you take and a certain weapon does extra damage.
Is like an addon. Makes the boss die faster.

Also posting a pic of that thing I talked before.

Is not an airlock. but will show limit details of it.

took a couple of day to make this possible. Mixture of sector trick, Conhack, sector effectors etc.
If big door opens, cage closes,
if big door closes, cage opens.
So is unpassable right?

Like I said before.

Floor grid is not part of that door thing.

Is a floor grid (TROR).
Is the switch room downstairs for that door upstairs.

In the pic door is opened and the huge metal bars are closed.

If the door is closed, bars opened.

It's not worth starting a new thread for, but CBP 9 is currently underway. We've got 7 mappers, which is enough for a full team, but that's not to say there isn't room for more. If anyone else wants to join the CBP, send me a PM or post in the thread here: http://www.scent-88....pic,155.30.html

Just some more WIP messing around. If I end up with anything good I'll post it and take comments. IIRC this was called the fem10 model in the game.
And yes, the hands need work. :P

Yeah I haven't been active in the community for 3-4 years, but I've lead two teams, unable to find a dedicated modeler both times.

For example, in Duke 64 the Armor is displayed as one of the inventory icons, so it is redundant to have another display for it.

Every coder's tried it, but I'm working on rain code for CONfetti (please say I don't have to rename it again).

At the moment it is always on as I haven't devised reliable way of turning it off when the player is too far away (ifpdistl doesn't do anything). However, it relies on no new assets (besides the CON Code) and uses only 40 lines and spawns rain over an area the mapper defines. It does not check for parallax skies though so the mapper would have to tweak the range to stop it from raining inside. Mappers can select the palette.

Wonder if I can make snow in a similar way... I'll have to find a tile to use for that but do it in such a way that it doesn't affect the normal functionality.

For a snow flake you could try 1220, 2380 (pal 12), 2409 or 2590.

Ah, now, 2409 was exactly what I was looking for. I can now make it snow, but the spawner has a couple of extra effects;

Usually the flakes are 16x16 but I commented the sizeto line out to better showcase things. Additionally, it murders framerate, I've spent quite a while scratching my head over it, it turned out that the flakes weren't being deleted after touching the floor; I wrote getactor instead of getsector and spent two hours trying to figure out what was broken, at one point turning their draw distance down as low as 1024 and using "killit" on ones further away but due to the way the code works it had no effects on ones below the floor, in the end, dndebug helped me solve it.

Unlike the rain code, it won't appear indoors, though I intend to make that optional for both.

Framerate still takes a massive dive, but I have some ideas on that, namely involving using the player's x co-ordinate and moving the rain/snow closer if it is within a certain range, otherwise just having it be deleted because the way I have it working now leaves some horrible pop-in in brighter scenes.

Edit: Oh, also, when I first wrote the code, I forgot to link up set the var that controlled the range, I was also using "spin" instead of "randomangle" and whilst not what I wanted, it did produce an interesting effect (which is useless): http://img407.images...96/duke0025.png
