After months of hard working NBlood is finally ready to be released.
NBlood is a Blood port based on EDuke32.
Some features i'd like to highlight:
-High accuracy. NBlood can play 1.21 internal demos accurately
-Multiplayer(not quite stable atm)
-Software & OpenGL(polymost) renderers are available
-CD audio, accurate FM OPL3(SB/AdLib) emulation
-DEF/HRP support

I find it amazing that the Blood community has been waiting for twenty fucking years for a decent port, and now all of a sudden we're getting three at the same time. NBlood is a really fantastic offering though, much appreciated.

Quote
1. Extract NBlood to a new directory
2. Copy the following files from Blood 1.21 to NBlood folder:
BLOOD.INI
BLOOD.RFF
BLOOD000.DEM-BLOOD003.DEM
GUI.RFF
SOUNDS.RFF
SURFACE.DAT
TILES000.ART-TILES017.ART
VOXEL.DAT
Does this support the shareware version?

as for the original game, if you turned down detail in the options menu it would disable voxels.

Dude, you're a genius !
PS: Probably well known, but for those who don't, in order to play Cryptic Passage with Nblood, just put the files in the same folder and create a batch file with the following information:
@echo off
ren tiles007.art bart007.ar_
ren tiles015.art bart015.ar_
ren cpart07.ar_ tiles007.art
ren cpart15.ar_ tiles015.art
nblood -ini cryptic.ini
ren tiles007.art cpart07.ar_
ren tiles015.art cpart15.ar_
ren bart007.ar_ tiles007.art
ren bart015.ar_ tiles015.art

Just wanted to say about a minor thing: I think mouse sensitivity should be increased, I rised it to the max and it still feels pretty slow for me.

EDIT. Well movement with mouse do feel a bit floaty, first thing I had to do was increase sensitivity and disable filtering...

Edit: Just noticed, it will disable widescreen corrections. Nuke could you add DEF loading based on the zip file name in a future version?

if you wanna run DW, you'll also have to select it in the custom game directory dropdown menu. so in the case of DW you make a batch with the content of:
@echo off
nblood -ini deathw/dw.ini
hopefully we'll get a mapster32 fork too soon.
