Okay, gonna be super blunt here. I don't care about
Cyberpunk 2077 but I can't get off the feeling that videogame journalists and bloggers are just feeding off the purported scandal. It seems to be telling more of the media environment of today than of some shady gamedev practices.
What about all those free market mantras that are popular today? Nobody forces anyone to buy or play the game. Watch a couple reviews, don't buy. Bought and didn't like it? Refund etc. Wait for patches.
I mean, if someone had a bad experience with
Cyberpunk 2077, it's probably a poor consolation to read these investigations about how bad it all was.
I keep thinking of
Daggerfall. It's a nice game. Were people hyped waiting for it? Yes. Was it super bugged when it came out? Sure. Does the latest patch fix everything? No. Does the community love the game and has it fixed all that could be fixed? You bet.
Oh, and you'll just love reading Bethesda's patch notes, and this is for
Arena mind you (Bethesda here is just an example):
Quote
Patches 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.04
* Multiple 'Fortify' on a single spell now fortify all stats that are
in the spell. Therefore a spell that fortifies STR, INT, and WIL will
now fortify all those stats rather than changing your gender, for example.
It will NOT fix your gender if you're already changed. (sorry)
