I tried it and unequivocally adds a great amount of fun!

It depends on the map design. Some maps use the waterfall animation on horizontal surfaces and then set them up so they move sideways. With the default waterfall this looks cool, but this new one it looks crappy. This is why I disabled the new horizontal waterfalls in e.g. BDP and 25th Century Duke. I'm also thinking about doing it in the base CosmDuke.

I would recommend that. Toxic Dump has it pretty bad.

Did you slightly lower the pitch of the downsized samples? If so that's kinda genius.


I hope I'm not too much of a bother, but I think they're all a bit quiet...

You mean the ones I downsampled or all of the original Duke Talk files?

So I was trying to create the 'ultimate Duke3D' by combining Cosmetic Duke 1.7, the WT compatibility stopgap and the voxel pack. Unfortunately the voxels don't appear whatever I try. Did anyone have some luck with that combination and could help me out? Or is it simply impossible?

Add the following to cosmetic duke's duke3d.def

include duke3d_maphacks.def 
include duke3d_voxels.def


(didn't try with the WT stopgap but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work)

Yeah, I don't see any reason either, but it doesn't seem to work. Already had those lines in Cosmetic Duke's duke3d.def.

Is anyone interested in having a few more thumbnails of Carribean, NW, WT, and Duke it D.C. I recovered images of large sizes and even wallpapers.
