New Rise of the Triad + New Wolfenstein + New Shadow Warrior...

This is the best year for video games since the 90s.

Is it actually a new game or just Megaton Edition?

If this is really a new SW, just need a new NOLF game as well and I'll be forever happy

If this was for the port to Steam, wouldn't Green have used the old thread?

Devolver is publishing this. Check Fred's link and you will notice it has Devolver in it.

3D Realms probably isn't doing much.

http://steamcommunit...23580659980121/ This translates to Flying Wild Hog in Polish and in that video their logo appears in the top right.

Awesome find, Lunick! That looks really cool.

I wonder how Interceptor and Flying Wild Hog are dividing up the work? Pretty great combo, regardless.

I knew Interceptor was working on a project with Digital Devolver, but I wasn't expecting a Shadow Warrior reboot/sequel. What a pleasant surprise.

I don't have any evidence about Interceptor and I don't think they are. Just that Fred was smart enough to find that image.

AFAIK we are not involved with this. AT LEAST NOBODY HAS TOLD ME ABOUT IT AND I SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW ABOUT IT IF WE ARE, FRED ;)

Ah, I was just being an eager beaver then. Plus, you guys have to finish ROTT first. Still, think you guys would be a great fit.

Congrats to Digital Devolver though. I've loved every game they've put out. Nice to see Mike Wilson channelling his GOD and ID days again. He's got his mojo back.

Edit: http://www.gamefront...shadow-warrior/ - I can't wait to find out more!

@Kristian. I just assumed based on a few Facebook and Tweets that I'm unable to source at the moment. I'm probably dead wrong. I just got a little excitable when I saw all this Shadow Warrior stuff. I could certainly see Interceptor collaborating with Digital Devolver on something big at some point.

Off-topic. I wonder if Digital Devolver are handling Earth No More? I would love for that to see the light of day.

Teaser footage does nothing for me anymore, especially after Reloaded. ;) What piques my interest is gameplay footage.

Not sure what to make of this yet, but sure sounds promising.
Playing the ninja level in Serious Sam 2 a couple of months back made me realize just how much I want a new Shadow Warrior but as everyone else I thought we would never get it. And FWH are a pretty good developer ;)

Hold on, is that asian guy an in-game character? At first glance it looked like a real guy with maybe some photoshopped blood, but now that I'm looking closely at it, he seems to be a model. Talk about realistic http://forums.duke4.net/public/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif

Nice! Let's hope the new SW game doesn't have any of that regen-health, two-weapon limit, linear levels & checkpoints bullshit, a/k/a the Halo/CoD mechanics. Just stick to the good old old-school formula like medkits & armor, carry alot of weapons, mazey levels w/ colored keys & secrets and I'll be a happy man! Anyways I want a Blood 3!

EDIT: Will John William Galt reprise his role as Lo Wang?

3D Realms working this closely with Devolver Digital isn't surprising, check out this article from the original publishing agreement for Max Payne:

Quote

18.6 Termination of Employment of Certain Parties:

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Agreement, in the
event that, prior to delivery by Developer of the Gold Master version of the
Game and acceptance and approval thereof by Gathering, both Michael S. Wilson
and Harry A. Miller ceased to be employed by Gathering or its General Partner,
regardless of the reason for the termination of such employment, Developer shall
have the right, but not the obligation, within thirty (30) days from the date
that both Wilson's and Miller's employment terminates (the "Employment
Termination Date") to terminate this Agreement in accordance with this Section
18.6....
(Source)

In other words they like working with those guys!

But what 3dRealms are supposed to be "this closely" doing exactly?
0

#29

What I meant was that they are working together on several projects(Duke3D Megaton, Shadow Warrior Complete, etc). I am not surprised that they have a business relationship with Devolver Digital because they have a history with the founders.
