That's because some models where made for Polymer, if you activate Polymer you will see correctly the weapon.

Well that sucks, I can't run Polymere, I should be able to, but it just jumps and stutters. Does anyone know of any way I can get this weapon looking normal. I'm gonna try taking the model and skins from an old version of the HRP, see if that works.

You don't need to do that, I made a temporary fix for that little problem modifying some numbers in firstperson.def. I will upload to mediafire because I can't attach this kind of file. Still, there are others models which need a fix for non-polymer players.
Edit: Here: http://www.mediafire...7jf5qc8i9dh4rcr
Install this in: Your HRP Directory\highres\sprites\ and replace (or backup) the original firstperson.def
Tell me if is look good, I think I made it the RPG bigger for the screen.
Edit again: added screenshots.

I have Polymer checked, but it doesn't load for some reason... so this fix works for me also on the RPG.
Thanks...
When I get time I will properly report all the issues I am having with it. They might all be because I can't load Polymer though.
I will get some screen shots up when I get time. An example is that the fence wire is missing on the roof top at game start.

Normally if you video card doesn't support Pixel shader (I don't remember which version), it will not detect the polymer render. Well that's a theory.

There's something i've noticed in the city skybox of the latest HRP. All the lit windows in the buildings look green, whereas from the HRP 2005 edition that I am using (I know, old) they are much more colourful. Why were they changed?

I don't know, maybe the last version it looks more like the original 8-bits skybox.

I reckon that was the idea. I just find it odd, it's definitely more bland than the one in earlier HRPs.

Well you can replace the new skybox with the old if you want.
Also I think we are in off-topic

Are you planning to add polymost capability for HRP v5 on the HRP site? That would be really nice so I would not need multiple installations any more.

Sounds like a good idea. I will see what think our bosses about this.
