Maybe you should edit your topic thread to exactly "Sonic The Hedgehog 3D"
It would look better than just "sonic" :(

I find playing as tails more fun because you can just fly everywhere.

One thing I have picked up on is that the cut scenes dialogues have bad English.

Well, I sure as hell like the look of this - It's got Sonic in it and (as my avatar suggests) I like Sonic so that usually means it's awesome, it reminds me of Sonic Adventure a little, which is a good sign. I shall be looking at that demo tomorrow providing my power supply gets it ass into gear.

I always wanted to make a Sonic TC. Guess that'll be a little redundant.

I remember only one nice looking Sonic TC. Of course I'm talking about Alejandro's Sonic TC.

I've played through and it was great. The first level was a bit similar to in the other demo but it was still fun. The coin barrels are also great, and I've noticed that sonic can no longer swim (he could in the first demo IIRC) but I guess that's related to the original sonic games and works out fine. My favourite level/act was the second one, and if I had to make any criticism it would be that the camera does tend to clip walls in corridors which makes a kind of HOM effect, but that's not a gameplay issue.

IMO this should deserve a mention on the front page because it's pretty damn impressive.

yeah, nice work, your mod is so fun, by cons, camera entering on walls, you must solve that.

Okay so I've played around and everything is cool, one thing expected, and it's sure an important thing in a Sonic game.
I'm talking about speed. Sonic is way too slow in the demo and you should really fix that.

lol, I think he was just meant to quote the part about being news on the front page, I am sure he knows it's not mine. :(

It is excellent TC, but I find game for Knuckles enough easy because of its special attack, and also at some levels textures are too monotonous

P.S. Ancient Palace 1 - the best level :(

I dig it so far. There's a couple things that could be tweaked but otherwise so far so good.

Hello guys. Here's my project, it's called Sonic the hedgehog 3D, and it's standalone mod for Eduke 32.

Here's the first and second demo:

www.sonic3d.ru a lot of stuff here!

The second demo is a lame a bit. Maybe I'll release patch soon.

Here's homing attack add-on for demo 2 (which makes sonic's attack more advanced)

http://sonic3d.ru/ph...ming_attack.zip

unzip it in your sonic 3d folder and run homing.bat

Hope you enjoy it!

Cool.

To make a spin dash press the “duck” button and then pressing the “use” button five times for maximal speed. After that you should
release the “duck” button.

You could make a message appear that tells the player how to do it when the player comes up to a breakable wall for the first time. Most people will not read documentation and they are used to getting instructions while they play.l

Heck I didn't even know you could do that. I thought I was a genius when I found out you could jump and hit space to attack.

It comes pretty naturally to anyone who has ever played Sonic (2) before.

Good news.
I'm working on it again. My EDuke 32 skills raised a lot, so now I can make a lot of things that I have dreamed about year ago. (except of speaking good english, of course). For example, now I can make new physics instead of old shitty ones.

At this time I'm rewriting the code, cleaning up textures and music, fixing old levels, planning future levels and cutscenes (my favorite part!), so I don't have anything interesting to show at the moment.

Hope to post some screenshots soon.

Sonic is my favorite game franchise (sorry Duke), so if you want a team member, I'll be more than willing to help. If not, no problem. I'll just enjoy playing it. :(

This is very good news, especially since "Sonic 4" sucked.
