I hope this goes here too...

Anyways, I've heard some rumors about playing the HRP in multiplayer mode by using DukesterX, I also heard that you need the original full version of Duke3D in order for it to work.

With that said, I have two questions.

1. Is this statement true?
2. If it is true, is anyone familiar with it and are they willing to assist me with it?

1. The HRP has absolutely no effect on gameplay itself (it's all superficial), so

2. HRP or no HRP, you need the original full version of Duke to play DM. Durr, I forgot about the shareware. Let me revise this: DM or no DM, the HRP won't work with the shareware because a large number of tile numbers were switched around. This can be observed by copying the Atomic GRP over the shareware and playing it.

3. The main reason arguing against the HRP during DM is that your computer has to work harder, and as such network communications could be harmed, shattering Duke's fragile DM. Usually, I play in Polymost with all highres stuff off. (Real mouselook FTW.)

Well both my friends and I have well enough computers and networking to run it. And I've seen videos of possible multiplayer with hrp (for all I know they could have used dukebots) and I read how other people are doing it as well. So, Im really looking for the answer of IF it can be done, and HOW it can be done. I mean, I got the DM and HRP, along with Dukester, I havent had a full chance to test what they said to do yet, but.. Thats about it.

HOW: Are you going to be using the HRP SVN? If so, follow this, then inside YANG (once it's all set up with port forwarding and the like) add this to the dialog box for "additional command line parameters":

-j <folder>

HRP SVN? Im not exactly sure what that is, or where Im getting it.. Aslo I noticed that the link showing how to setup the svn is showing polymer or something like that, I assume thats a whole new update?. And I dont think Im familiar with Yang either....

If you read the guide it would tell you where to get it. (I know because I wrote the guide)

Actually, I just came to realize that it was the updated version of the HRP, but thanks for pointing that out and making me feel like an a-hole....prick....I'm pretty sure I dont have to explain to you that I recently discovered HRP, since Im sure its pretty obvious, less your THAT slow.

I'll look into that.. I dont really care if people are using them or not as long as they work with making an mp lan, since thats what Im looking for, if that wasnt obvious.

Well heck, wtf else is one to do when no one wants to answer in the first place. If I hadnt of gotten an answer within a few days, I would have said F this place and looked for a more better source and possibly somone who has experience in setting it all up, that or mess everything up trying to figure it out on my own.

Well i wouldn't say that's correct, if no one answers your question for like 2 days a bump would be a good idea.

Thanks, it was a bit helpful.. Anyways, I managed to get Multiplayer working for Duke Nukem Hi-Res, using the DukesterX, works fine and great for me. However, I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me how I might be able to load up the Dukeplus weapons (dual pistol, double barrel shotgun, lmg, etc) I can't seem to find a way that loads those up.

Im sure DukePlus doesnt work multiplayer at the moment
