Why does the latest version of BloodGDX try to load Cryptic Passage even when I select a regular episode and then crash back to the game menu with a "cannot load Cryptic Passage" error message!?

What OS are you using?
Try to launch bloodgdx from console. (java -jar BloodGDX.jar) gamelog has nothing useful. I see only blood.ini load and loadmap e1m1.
Your criptic.ini is modified?

WIndows 10
No difference from loading via shortcut.
Cryptic.ini has not been changed.
The specific error message I'm getting when trying to start Blood Episodes 1-5 is "Error opening map file C:\Blood\Games\Blood\cryptic passage\e1m1.map" It ONLY happens when trying to load episodes 1-5 - Cryptic Passage itself loads fine!

You are guys don't say something, because I can't simulate this problem, port working fine in all cases for me. So, therefore I need your game folder.

If you want to fiddle around with a copy of my Blood directory, I'll need to email it to you - even with 7zip, it's way to big to upload here. If you don't want to post your email on the forum click here:

My guess would be one of those BATs overwrites BLOOD.INI with its own file, in order to launch its own episode set. See if you can replace BLOOD.INI with one from a fresh install.

Actually, each BAT is set to only copy files and their own INI when run, then delete the copys when the program is closed, my Blood.INI should be fine as original, ive even just tested with a fresh Blood.ini and the issue persists, but heres a capture of it for checking, and also the BLOODGDX ini

Ok, I fixed this bug. As temporaly solution you can try to put some .map files in Blood folder. It should help

An odd temp solution, but it worked. Making a random file called "Blank.map" makes normal episodes work again.

I was also having this issue and can confirm the "blank.map" fix works for me too.
