OK. I didn't know that drunk feature was a part of the original Blood. I thought maybe you were trying to code something else and the drunk feature accidently happened so you kept it.

Get into Mapedit, place a few delirium shrooms and VOILA :(

I've read Legend of Iconolast by Dwayne Anderson has a few of these planted in some forests, if you don't want to map it yourself.

Its hard to believe but I never bought Blood. I have only the shareware version from back in the 90's. Thats probably why I don't remember seeing the drunk effect.

Great work! :(
Can't wait to try out the multiplayer.

I noticed that when you die to enemies now a little text popup appears.
These are a great idea. However, I would change how they are written a little.

At the moment you have somehing like:
"Shotgun Cultist Wasted"

I think it should read something like this:
"Wasted by a Shotgun Cultist"

Might be hard to change since these messages are directly from the multiplayer part of the game, instead of the enemy name usually the player name would be there.

Yes I guess that is true.

I just checked how the Bloodbath messages are written:

PlayerX "action" PlayerY

It is something like "Caleb reamed Dude" or "Dude mutilated Caleb"

So, I think all that is needed is for the player name to be included, its missing at the moment. So my original statement could read:
Shotgun Cultist Wasted Caleb

Just needs that last name in there and it reads fine.

Amazing job, dude! Blood is my favorite game from my childhood, it's great getting to play this easily now and through multiplayer with friends.

Thanks for the new version.

I like the improved messages you have put in for player deaths in Single player. I think they read really well now.

How much does coop work? Like can you complete the game in coop or is it still barebones WIP?

Also is there any way to turn off friendly fire for coop?

Well,

Start a single player game and then die to anything.
For example, have a zombie kill you.

A message will now appear at the top saying something like 'Zombie smashed Caleb'
I was commenting that the latest version (0.794 currently) completes what [M210] did in 0.793 which was introduce this feature, but it wasn't complete.

Oh fuck, where is the download for BloodGDX? Please don't tell me you got a DMCA, M210.

Even if that happens, the single player is still pretty flawless, which places it on equal terms with SW Redux.

Can somebody upload their bloodgdx 0.94 just in case?

I don't panic because I always have a towel with me. Anyway if the bad stuff happens we'll fire up the torrents!

Edit: Btw. if it's indeed a DMCA takedown I hope we get to know who sent it. If it was WB then we're fucked but if it was Night Dive on the other hand...

I hope he updates us on what is happening..

Edit: I am wondering though, if it is a DMCA. Why.. You still need to own the game to play GDX. Would the franchise owners really lose any money on this.. I think not. Besides, I don't think they are making any money from it anyway.

If anything, companys MAKE money off things like this, as people still need to own the original game in order to make use of BloodGDX.

I have nearly all copies of BloodGDX dating back from first release, so if there is a problem I can put these somewhere.

The https://gitlab.com/m210/BuildEngine page is still open, so maybe [m210] is doing some cleaning of the old files?
I guess we will need to wait and see.

That page only has the Build component (which he released as a precursor to RedneckGDX), M210 never released the source for the parts specific to Blood.

Yes thats true of course, while it dosn't have blood specific parts, it is part of the BloodGDX build, so the fact he was working on it ~9 hours ago suggests that he wasn't meaning to take BloodGDX down.

If I was to guess, perhaps something has broken by accident on the server and the links to BloodGDX have been lost.
I can't imagine that he has been ordered to take this down.

Still only guesses at this point...

Actually, if the owners of Blood's IP were currently (or potentially) working on a source port, they would likely see BloodGDX as a threat to their potential sales. Why pay for a company's port when you can get a community-made port for free?

Although yes, you still need the assets to play BloodGDX, that's only $5.99 (or something like that) per digital copy, compared to a source port price of $20.00

Don't panic, but I can't tell anymore now, but wait about month (or 2 months)
Just don't post anything on forums or public stuff
