EDIT: This was a poorly-thought-out post; you could see my later post on how I see it. Also, Randy is not to fault for everything listed. Gearbox is a big company; things are a bit too complex to pinpoint on just one person.

This. This would solve so many problems.
Everyone's go-to stock answer is "Why don't you just use Unreal to make your level?" Derp, because they'll send you a C & D, that's why.

When will we get to see the return of Duke Nukem 1, 2, 3D (DOSBox version w/ the 3 addons) Manhattan Project and Balls of Steel on Steam and GOG.com?

really?
A "trans squirrel lady" is a legitimate source?
Probably why Randy jumped from twitter to this forum - to get away from the tumblr weirdos

Unfortunately this is incredibly unlikely due to Manhattan Project making use of Granny3D, which is a RAD Game Tools library.
What can be released however, is the source code for duke_base.dll, which is the equivalent of something like gamex86.dll in idTech games.

Since 2001 and to this day, I dream of one day playing or at least seeing it in its full glory. To quote Joe (and I'm paraphrasing), "I bet you'd still go apeshit if the E3 2001 trailer was played as a video game ad in movie theaters."
Thanks OP for putting this thread together and to everyone who participated in it.

Took about 7 years for the Duke3D source code to be released
DNF is nearing 7 years old
How about an Apr 1, 2018 release of DNF source code

Similar to DNMP, this is also unfortunately an unlikely scenario. DNF uses a modified version of Unreal Engine 1. Specific permission would likely need to be granted from Epic in order to release it.

Is there any plan for multilanguage dubbing ?
I don't know if my question will be kept, but I ask just in case !

What's Randy's opinion of Duke 3D user maps and total conversions? Did he try any of them, what's(are) his favourite one(s)?

- A re-release of Duke Nukem 1, Duke Nukem 2, Balls of Steel, DN: Manhattan project, and the official DN3D addons: Nuclear Winter, Carribean Carnage, DukeItOut in DC, Duke!Zone 2 and DukeXtreme.
- For DNF a DRM-free release on GOG, level- and art editing tools, and cheat codes (god-mode, level warp, all weapons, walk through walls).
Greetings

1) Reintroduces the console. This is important for configuration purposes, not just cheats and goodies.
2) Polishes up some post-processing effects, especially the DoF that should be turned down several notches and should focus on where the player is looking. Such effects should be toggleable in the console or menu, even if it's as a post-play extra. Speaking of...
3) Adds some new post-play extras, such as:
- Unlockable weapon skins/sounds from earlier builds (possibly even the option to replace the M1911 with a Golden Eagle)
- Night Vegas mode
- A new difficulty mode that uses the original ego mechanics (would indeed be Very Unfair though as the game isn't well designed for it)
- Options for inventory enhancements such as an alternate Duke Vision mode that looks like Night Vision goggles with minimal visual interference, and/or scuba suits/space respirators instead of air bubbles (would be placed around said air bubbles, but less frequently as the scuba/respirator would last longer)
- Allocating the pistol to its own sidearm slot, thus freeing up another for other weapons. The achievement for carrying the pistol throughout the whole game would have to be disabled for this.

It would come in handy if lots of things could be done in mobile. Access to the reputation system being one. Just not in the mobile theme I guess. Hopefully an update can fix this?

All you gotta do is have your browser request the desktop version of a website. Chrome does this in options. There's probably an option for every browser to do this.

I think someone (may have been NightFright) was restoring the Duke!Zone 2 maps and he said they had lots of critical bugs and bad design that could break them, though from what I remember they looked sorta ok, bad design aside.
From DukeXtreme, the only thing I wanted was the T-shirt that came with the Duke Apocalypse bundle. Coolest thing ever!
