Why isn't there an option for the user to delete his own post?
Many forums allow it, under some restrictions, of course.

Deleting post option

Yes, there should be one.
Yes some restrictions to prevent abuse.
Reason post should be deleted are;
Sometime when the browser , net or forums lags and you think the post didn't post we make a "duplicate post"
A mistake post and we want to delete.
At the moment we can edit post.

If you report your own post and ask for it to be deleted we will do it.

On a somewhat similar topic I'd like to suggest that a post that has been edited within 1 minute of its creation doesn't have the "edited" annotation. It's usually just some trivial grammar fixes or a quick addition to reference a new post that didn't exist when you started typing.

^ Yes please. I edit almost all of my posts constantly for this reason.

Because it's much more fun to have them rant and rave about "Delete my account you loosers!" than have them quietly delete all their posts.
