Yeah just saw the finale, I liked it overall though the ending itself of course wasn't satisfactory cause it's setting up season 4.5 (or 5 if you prefer )

The final episode is a beast at 2h30min runtime with at least 30 of those minutes being characters hugging it out or so it felt at least

when it comes to Max recovery, we can very well imagine being confronted to split personallities of her, related to her partial draining by Vecna

Seems I am not the only one to think that the Duffers saying Max being "brain dead" at the very end of the final episode is just a "red herring", that doesn't stick and even not being an expert you know that usually someone being brain dead is uncapable to breath without life support... and if you look she breath all by herself, and the details count in the series... the most likely explaination to her coma is she is simply missing (not where she is expected to be), most likely to be stuck in some hollow place, like this "red hazy limbo" you are familiar with for instance
