Post your game videos here!

Some rules (also taken from the 3DR thread.. I thought many of them were too strict so I didn't include those) -
* Like the "Post A Picture of Yourself" thread, this is for videos of in-game footage, so please keep commenting to a minimum (but some commenting and feedback is fine, just don't make it a chat thread)
* This is for YOUR videos, don't be posting in here with links to works not of your own creation (e.g. no putting up links to Red vs Blue and claiming it as your own).
Now, I have too many videos to post links to all of them, so here's a link to my Youtube channel instead -

Dosbox has created an entry in your start menu, there's a shortcut there to install the codec.
After you've done that, all you have to do is start Dosbox and press - CTRL+ALT+F5 to start recording (and again to stop recording).

A newer Blood video. Episode 2... probably one my favorite episodes, except for the haunted house level. Ugh.

Episode two is my favourite episode aswell, but why do you hate The Haunting?
I was planning on recording the entire game for YouTube, but I cannot record without lag (DosBox).

Way too large; feels like I'm walking in a huge maze with countless of rooms and corridors. I remember walking around looking for a hidden button for hours.

If you haven't already try recording with a lower resolution. My videos are recorded at 640x400 and you can easily see some framerate issues (worse when recording) but overall it looks fine IMO.
Planned recording the entire Episode 2 maps but whenever I upload my recorded run of "The Lumber Mill" the video cuts off a few minutes and get all jerky to watch and weird colors. No friggin' idea what YouTube does when it's converting the video since the original video is crystal clear and completely normal. Tried recording the level 3 times now and all of them does the same thing. Frustrating.

It's a large map, yes, but I have no problems with that. In fact, The Haunting is one of my favourite maps.

I have actually, but I would like to record without lag, preferably at 1024x768 . I do have an old PC with a Pentium processor, but the PSU is b0rked.
But maybe it'll all work out with the source code, and we'll soon be playing Blood natively on modern operating systems.

I'm not sure if YouTube supports the codec used by DosBox. Do you convert your videos before uploading them to YouTube?
Maybe you should try to convert if you don't already.

I've uploaded videos recorded directly from DOSBox (i.e. without converting them) in the past (look at my previous Blood videos and the Carmageddon video) and they all worked fine. No idea why it suddenly decided give me a big "FU". :/
Just tried installing the movie codec that comes together with the DOSBox 0.73 installation and VirtualDUB could finally open the video! I've tried installing the codec in the past but it never seemed to install correctly so I were unable to convert the videos.
I'm gonna give it a try and see how it works.
EDIT: Yep, works perfectly. Opened it up with VirtualDUB and converted it into Xvid. Also about 170MB less.

Thanks a lot for bringing it into my attention again Psycho. Just luck that I even bothered trying installing the codec again.

It's in two parts, because YouTube has a ten minute length limit
I might record my other favourite levels, but I'm not sure as I hate to play with lag.

Lately I am learning shaders, just a couple of months but I implemented God rays effect to Morrowind:
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=yNNh2wY2SRM
It is possible via a project like Eduke32 but works with hacking and hooking, since we don't have the source code. The tool is called MGE and it can do some fancy stuff, like adding distant land, SSAO, DoF, HDR, Godrays, water with VTF and caustic mapping. It is open source, so anyone is welcome to work with it. Next goal is to add normal maps and shadows...
http://sourceforge.n...s/morrgraphext/, FYI.

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=6Yh_gt5qXH4 - Basically just dicking about in the game. Might do a new one in the full version of the game soon.
Probably doesn't matter, as I think a fair few members of this forum are subscribed to me anyway.

Originally recorded and rendered in 60fps but for unknown reasons YouTube won't play it at anything other than 30fps. Bummer.
