Not only we will have Tim Burton, Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder involved, but it seems Johnny Depp will also have a role in it (he desperately rely on Tim Burton to keep his career afloat at the present moment) :

I have no fear, it will be awesome, after all the original movie was all about the performances of the actors and their synergies... as well as the work from Bo Welsch on making the sets and the direction of Tim Burton ^^
The plot of the sequel have been written by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg who wrote/made IT 1 and 2 , and revised by Mike Vukadinovich who wrote Rememory, so I don't have fear of this point either ^^

There will be no recast of any kind, let alone an all-female assemble (there was already enough female in the original movie, Geena Davis was glad and still is)
When it comes to train wrecks, I leave them to Caleb (maybe he could do a cameo as well, he would just fit, its a burtonian universe after all) ^^

The only downside I have found concerning Beetlejuice 2 right now is that we will have to wait until Tim Burton is done with "Wednesday" the umpteenth Addam Family based series that will come on Netflix before he start filming Beetlejuice 2

Unfortunately and sadly, Sadie Sink had to drop out the role of Lydia's daughter in Beetlejuice 2 because the filming of O'Dessa was starting as the same moment (late may/early june) and Stranger Things 5 right after
Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) get the role instead, but that doesn't mean the movie will be bad, just that it won't be the same
