Great single-player maps and mods?

Sewer, Sweeney - old levels by Levelord, an original mapper (mostly made levels for episode 3). They are a bit of broken here and there, I made a custom upgrade for both, but that's not official.

Levelord is a legend for sure, I really like his Scorge of Armagon levels for Quake too. Do you have links to your upgraded versions up anywhere?

You know I'm taking these recommendations seriously, because I just got IP banned from downloading at scent-88. I'm sure I'm the most active user they've had in a long time, but jeez, I wasn't going crazy or anything. Only downloading one map at a time etc. And they're pretty tiny downloads.

I downloaded about 46 maps some from there some from MSDN over four days, nothing too shocking. All those files add up to less than 70mb total, half of that is MTRampage. Maybe a bit more if one or two more mods were from there. Is scent-88 more of a historical archive thing, it's not actually supposed to be used? :) This ain't right.

now that's an oddity ! scent-88 is still an ongoing site, so you really shouldn't encounter such problems. I'll send an e-mail to the scent-88 admin (known among the community as Puritan, can't remember whether or not he's ever used this user name on here though), right now, to see if he can address your issue.

Well that was something. :) I got to the part where you got the car battery and then kept dying, because I had 4 health by that point. Do aliens believe in health packs like us humans do? Still, a lot of creative unique flavor to your mod there. The zen can heal Gordon in HL2, can they heal themselves? Science, I would think.

I'd suggest Vixen and Vixen II. You can get them here
http://dukeworld.duk...20dukeworld/tc/
The base theme of Vixen did get some harsh commends from the forums at Dukeworld. I say, the collected art work is worth at least one go, alone. :)

Also, Suburbs was another superior TC, in my opinion

Stand in the large blue pool, I think behind one of the buildings (been awhile since I've played it honestly).

The blue pools refill your health.

Sorry, for being late to party, but I couldnt resist. :D

There are 2 maps, that usually mostly get overlooked, so lets give them bit deserved attention:
2121 A.D. & Mega Plaza Shopping Center (< Forge, CGS still misses review of it, would you mind giving it look? :D )

Maybe, it is just caused by my nostalgia glasses, as those were one of my first really great experiences with Duke 3D user maps, but I recommend them wholeheartedly anyway.

I remember playing 2121 A.D. for first time and being awestruck by grandiosity of its scape, and all those nice futuristic details.

And Mega Plaza Shopping Center made my imagination went crazy with all possibilities for Duke 3D maps. But just wait for its end, I never before or after seen any map utilize this effect (too bad you can break its illusion by going backwards). Also it is featured in User map collection episode in AMC TC.
(Thanks, James. :D )

A couple weeks isn't even close to late in "Duke time". :D Thanks for the recommendations, plus maybe some other folks will benefit from these too.
