Doesn't change the fact he created a gaming phenomenon that is wildly successful and sold for a couple billion dollars.
Whether you personally like it or not you should probably recognize it. Don't take it personally but simply saying "lol don't care" adds nothing

Well I wouldn't take it personal xD sorry but I still don't care, I have more respect for George then him. Minecraft is born in a more popular universe anyway but it can fall off the planet I would feel no different so there is no other possible way to explain what I think of a person I do not know or never heard of. Never saw the reason why people like the game even the new thing that's going on for it did not appeal to me it looks stupid. I am not going to be the idiot who appears to be interacting with the air while building a level for Minecraft. I just have below negative interest in such title.

Edit: Not trying to sound like a jerk who just wont budge but its my honest opinion that I don't care this game is really stupid imo I always thought a 12 year old developed it or someone young minded. Don't know I know its a sensation to lots of people but I am not anything like most people I think it is similar to a Doritos bag wrapper. I also don't feel the need to show any appreciation to this guy, and why should I? I don't care what he has done and judging by the way he says he is now unfollowing someone makes him sound just as I imagined.

I think it is okay for someone to know about Minecraft and not know who the original creator of it was. Especially considering different studios handle different versions of the game now (Mojang, 4J Studios) and that Notch left the Minecraft game behind a long time ago.

However, it is hard to ignore the game when it is the Best Selling PC Game and in the Best Selling Video Games of all time (I hate using Wikipedia for sources but whatever)

Notch aka Markus Persson is an obscure Doom source port author. He never finished his Java source port and simply faded into bolivion. I think he may be dead.

Age has nothing to do with smartness I agree but maturity... yes obviously age matters with maturity. I dont have personal feelings dude if im saying who cares and I seriously don't thats the only emotion I have for it. Dont care for Doom source ports either tbh I just like Doom 1 ,2, & 64. Look I get people want me to show some respect to a guy I never heard of till yesterday but its not going to happen. My opinion stays the same I dont care who he is and minecraft sucks. why I respond? Because I have interest in George the same as you. The thread is about George not some dude named notch. I get a downvote for not knowing who a guy is? Wow dude how lame.. With the many responses going against my opinion now its kind of getting under my skin. But ehh who cares fuck it I to found it appealing news. Hey I will give you this if you pay me everyting they made off minecraft I might fire it up.

I would love that billboard ad from George xD shit I would rather play Dnf sp over and over and over as if it was the last game on earth then play Minecraft. That should give you an image how much I care.

He ended up fading into obscurity anyway, so I don't think it would've done anything. I do like the hashtag though.

Realistically? He would've been ridiculed on every gaming site, for ripping off an existing slogan and for choosing to associate himself with a game that failed. Maybe he would have also been sued by John Romero.

Also looks like Randy Pitchford got in on the conversation aswell. Interesting... Some of Randy's "must take chances" videos interest me. And with there new game battle born there seems to be a hole lot of characters. Duke Nukem was mentioned but was not at all confirmed to be featured as a character. I heard the video say "Duke Nukem fits right in then?" "Yes put him right on the front cover lol". I think it would be cool if Battle born had Duke or even if they made Duke a dlc playable character for borderlands. I think the dead weight of Dnf is starting to fade now. And a smaller risk to add him as a playable character rather then an all out Duke game.
