You're saying that the Islan Facility's green keycard doesn't appear, well that's because it is NOT a KEYcard, it is an ACCESS card which is not the same ^_-

It's just like the Gold, Silver and Inferno keys, they don't show up because they're not keycards.
Therefore it is not a bug.

But your idea of making a litlle criteria display for losing weapons upon mission start is interesting and should be considered.



And JBlade, thanks for the info, and the fact it will add new EDF Missions realy makes me optimistic and eager ^^
Will there be Space Station maps ? Because right now we only have 1, not counting the Unknown Space Station of the main episode :/
Would also be nice to have a mission or two on the Moon, since the EDF is present on the Moon I guess it would make sense don't you think ? But since Moon isn't Earth per say it would also make sense not to have any XD


BTW I've looked up the maps you've mentioned, 2Bizzare sounds interesting mostly considering that Zaxtor did it, I think I already know what kind of level design it will be.
Daikarin I already knew but never considered trying it and when I saw screenshots I'm afraid that at least one or two levels from that mod are in Attrition but playing them in AMC will bring fresh air to them ^^ And Final Confrontation also sounds interesting.

2Bizarre was by Bob Masters, not Zaxtor :D (you're confusing it with Phantasm, which is a similar map - a funny story actually me, Sang and Highwire played that in co-op with the TC ages ago back when Eduke32 had mp and it took us like 2 hours, it was tons of fun)

I'm planning on adding CBP8 to the classic collection as it's a good length map...I'll see about adding some moon maps as well.

Ah maybe yes, now went back to where I saw it and indeed the 2Bizzare part was in suggestions for similar maps; my bad my bad ^^

CBP8 also looks interessting :D
I saw a screenshot of Micky's somewhere in Duke4net and it realy raises curiosity in terms of architecture and design.

I'd say you guys have good tastes ^_-

Oh man, I remember the Phantasm map, I never managed to beat it because of the puzzles. I dont recall where I got stuck exactly. There are a lot of very nice maps out there that could be put into the classic collection, the only issue is to get the permission to mod them for the TC and to find maps that people dont have played already (I have a ton of usermaps in a map folder, like the Red series of of maps, I was surprised to see them as EDF missions).

I was happily surprised to see the red series in it, I knew it by name but never saw any video of it and there was only 2 maps that i already knew because of Attrition (the 3rd one "Cursed Night" I think it's called and the second level as well).

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Red series pop up as well ^^


BTW I absolutely LOVE the end of level music, it's overly catchy and cool I just love hearing it !!!
I sincerily hope it'll remain in Ep3 because it's way better than Ep1's.

Also I remembered I was going to post about this yet I forgot all this time. Every slot 1 weapon (temporary weapons) will slow you down once you shoot something and after that you'll continue to move as normal. It's the inherited behavior of the Duke's kick being applied I'm pretty sure. For many of the weapons it doesn't really make sense and it's unnecessary slowdown of the player. Take the miniguns, the crossbow, the katana, the combat knives etc for instance. Why should they momentarily slow me down? What do you think about this? Was this intended?

No it's not intended, but there's no way to disable it. I asked the Eduke32 team and didn't receive a reply.

Oh so while we're at it... Geoffrey's slot 9 mines also disable you from moving and looking left or right while charging. I guess that's not intended either. I hope you can work this problem out because they are very related. (Tripbomb workslike being applied)

Hmmm... I seem unable to purchase the satellite placed between Io and Ganymede. I have the 50k credits that it's worth, but for some reason, when I click "Buy" nothing happens. :D

Another thing I've noticed is that in the description of James' LR300 + M203 (I took note of the name, :D ) it says 'Slot 7 assault rifle' instead of 'Slot 8 assault rifle' (It replaces the AUG, not the XM8-Laser Rifle. Thanks to the AMC TC Wiki for the name, :D ) Hmmm... now that I've seen the weapon placement in the wiki... I guess the description is correct. It's just that my temp weapon button is '1' instead of '0', so the arsenal is displaced by one number. :D

Lastly, last night I beated Tropical Alien Massacre, I even get the medals in the preview of the misison but, for some reason, the diamond doesn't turn green, it's still red. :D

Somehow certain C4 pickups don't spawn on the maps for me anymore. I can send a save and other files if needed. I basically tried Millhaven and the C4 isn't there. Same as micky's part in Arsia Mons. But the C4's were there in Sang's part so I have no idea what happened.

Double check and make sure you haven't already picked it up because there's nothing in the code that would delete that actor. If it happens in Millhaven that should be fixed since the map cache is cleared before the level is picked.

I'm not sure if this still happens but in Arsia Mons Broadcasting, the crack near the end that requires a C4 can be blown with any explosive. I've blown it up before this patch and I could pass, but when I placed the c4 it closed like a door. I'm not sure if it's fixed but I didn't see it through the patch notes so might be worth checking. (To be specific it's the one with the room that has 2 PE Elders)

EDIT: I still suffer from these weird equipment bugs even though I started from a New Game. (Last time I tried it seemed to fix this but seems not). So I played ABBA as Micky, using Whiplash Shotgun, the overheating assault rifle and the Meson cannon. It worked as intended. Now I decided to play Megabase again and on my first time of choosing, my AR was not replaced with what I chose. So I loaded my last save of the AMC mission select (I learned to have 2 saves, 1 for before the mission 1 for after) and now it is replaced. Then I got to the outside part where you get your shotgun, somehow my shotgun wasn't the whiplash but the original one. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong that these things happen, this is literally all I've been doing.

It looks like there's a problem in the EDF Missions that end with a Battlelord fight. The 'diamond' doesn't turn green after finishing them. I experienced this in 'Tropical Alien Massacre' and 'The Beach'. :D

Have you updated to the very latest patch on moddb.com? There was problems with this but they should be fixed, I beat the levels recently and they turned green afterwards succesfully.

XThX2: it sounds like collisions with savegames and the data array files. If in doubt, just go to the amc base via the console and it should refresh with all your latest stuff and prevent problems (type 'map AMCB' into the console)

A similar bug; Hydrostation when completed turns green BUT never gets any medals, I've beaten it 3 times on various difficulties and never got any medals for it :/

For some reason, I can't buy Mikko's plasma gun (the one which overheats). I click on the item but can't buy it. Also, I can't buy the second satellite. :D

I've looked in the code, there's nothing there to suggest why you can't buy it - do you have 15k base budget? I took a look at the second satellite though and a bug is there where it won't let you buy it unless you have 60k budget instead of 50, just fixed it.

Also fixed the Hydrostation medal bug, thanks.

Yes, I have 146k budget and still can't buy it. Should I try to buy it as another character (not as Mikko) and see what happens?
Another thing I've noticed is that the Guardian's head and the Riotgun - Grenade Launcher are not added to the list of temporary weapons. Is this normal?

Playing the second map in Underground fortress, turned valves 2, 3 and 4. 1 refuses to budge.
What do?

Edit: Oh, valve 1 doesnt turn when activated. Just had to go to the core and press the big button

Is it normal that the new Zeta Base only gives around 7/8k base budget? The beta version I played with EP1 gave around 20k... :D

There's a… small issue with AMC base's turrets in the official 2.01 patch: they're floating in mid-air. :D

I noticed this myself today, thanks for reminding me though :D (This is to do with some code I added to make flipped enemies walk on the ceiling for 2Bizarre.map)

I noticed in Mikko's Arsia Month mission the light projection on the ground is solid if crouched. Most noticeable in the "Worker's Entrance" section, I crouch all along to avoid being seen and I always get blocked by the light on the ground if you see what I mean.


I also noticed the in "Hydrostation" EDF mission the stair case in the later part (before you encounter the second commander) has a lot of invisible walls it used not to have which is inconvenient since you can't shoot enemies, they can shoot you, and it keeps you from going back that way.

Thought that It had something to do with that. There's an upside-down mug in the 'police room' in 'Fantasy Hotel' as well, but I'm not sure if it's affected by the same code.
Anyway... to land a headshot... do we have to shoot at their feet? :D I mean... the sprite is upside-down, but the collision box is unaffected, right?
Cool additions to the EDF Missions: I remember playing 'The Final Confrontation' several years ago. BTW, do these new additions contain... decorative objects as well? Haven't found any in 2Bizarre, but I'm not sure if it's because of the nature of the map itself. :D

There are decorative objects in Daikarin but I don't recall finding any in Final Confrontation, I'm currently playing through it for pleasure and found all the secrets so far and didn't find any decorative object...

Is it possible that there's a bug in 'Voices Of Authority' timer? :D It started when I came back to the shuttle (after defeating the Battlelord) and not as soon as I entered the Sheridan Spacestation. I double checked it and it happened both times. The second, though, I re-entered the shuttle without advancing much and the timer started as soon as I stepped in it (without defeating the Battlelord). :D

For Voice Of Authority the timer sets on when walking on a precise spot (too precise if you ask me) that's why you get the impression it doesn't start all the time, whereas on the previous installment (EP1) it would start along with the map.

BTW what's the Sheridan Space Station ?
