If by "settled" you mean that there was a consensus in the community that those issues had been satisfactorily resolved, then that may be true. But majorities can be wrong, and if SwissCm is right, then they are. Not that it matters to me. I have no dog in this fight, which is why I'm not going to argue the point with him.

It doesn't matter insofar as the legality is concerned, but if they can no longer afford to hire lawyers to harass people about IP violations, then it does make a practical difference.

I like the HRP Team logo with the black background.
I think it needs more cracks/scuffs on the letters like the 3DR logo has.

Yes IMO it covers all the bases and I've seen similar things in a lot of games lately too. ^^ As long as it's skippable then people won't complain too much. ^^

Well this brings up an interesting topic. Should we start authoring with widescreen in mind?

The one in the HRP sucks. Still a WIP, needs texturing. Also plan on making the drop shadow 25% translucent if it doesn't conflict with anything. This is also the same as the menu font in Duke 1.3D so I may make a version for that too.

I never noticed that the silver font is the same as the pre-Atomic redfont. Cool. Please do.

I also hope you continue with both the bluefont and minifont for SW as well.

Both look good and match the originals. I would not do that 50% transparency thing though. Those letters are used in user maps sometimes.

I use 1600x1200 on a 1920x1200 monitor.

I don't like the way widescreen scales the hud weapons.

Your texture seems to be less cartoony than the current one, which is good. However if you want it to be used probably you should also create a normal map for it and then update this page http://svn.eduke32.com/ since I doubt someone will put it there becasue Nighfright is not visiting this forums recently.

I vote for this texture to be added to p-HRP svn just because it's more accurate and it's softshaded - means polymer ready, also the current normal and specular map fit it pretty well (I've just tested it ingame).

Ozz, if you familiar with normal-mapping and specular mapping you should definitely go on making stuff, otherwise it's pretty time-consuming to make normal+specular for other people who don't have the sources for your textures.
