I haven't started compiling the release yet. Commits for HRP 5.3 will still be accepted until Friday, Sept 27, 10:00 PM (UTC+1). This should give me enough time to put everything together, do some screens during weekend and check out at least some levels for eventual log errors.

I intend to do the file uploads on Monday, Sept 30, so you can expect the files to be available that day.

*EDIT Sept 28*
SVN r561 will be the final version used for HRP 5.3. I am going to test some levels tomorrow and if I find no mistakes, it's gonna be uploaded as planned. ^^

I have changed the credits on the website. However, for the readme it's too late, it's inside the packages and I am not gonna update those any more, sorry for that. Anyway, I think next time it's fair enough if I politely ask once again about who made what before posting any changelogs. :P

Great would be to get some of the missing models done, especially Skywalker and Indy (even though they are only used once each in the official episodes, and even then only in secret areas). However, this is again only my personal preference. In general, anything any of you guys can come up with is more than welcome. The to-do list is not a must for things you can/should do (remakes of existing models/textures are never a bad idea if they beat the existing versions), but if you can take it into consideration, it'd be awesome.

I hope everyone enjoys this release. It arrives a bit earlier this year, considering we have traditionally waited till Xmas lately. Anyway, I think enough has been gathered to justify this release. After all, it's still the 5.x branch. For v6, we need "feature complete" of at least one of the missing episodes (regarding Ep.2, we still are pretty damn close). As I have stated on the HRP website, I want to especially (even though not exclusively) thank everyone who has been active since last Xmas to get the next pack out of the door. More and more "super highres" textures and models are being added, adapting HRP to the capabilities of more recent hardware. We still have much first-generation content in there that would require revisions, but I am confident that with the help of you folks out there, one day we'll even get THAT polished. :P

I wonder how much of the content is already HD-ified for this release. I took a quick look at the "what's to do" list and it doesn't seem there is much left. Are you guys at 85-90% done (barring new HD textuires replacing other HD ones)?

That list only covers what isn't done at all yet. It's hard to give a rough estimate of Polymerized content, but it's definitely a lot less than 85-90%...

Thanks for the information.

I am playing the second level of Episode 1 and I have missing textures on the bathroom floor. This happened after I have saved and then loaded.

i dun experience problems with missing textures there salk, and im using the newest HRP as well myself
so it would be problems with your setup if you are experiencing missing textures there


you made sure you are using the latest eduke32 SVN build?

also, if you still encounted problems there, remove the textures and textures.cache files from your base and autoload directories so that eduke32 wont use the old cached textures

There is a problem with this texture.
