Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition PS3/Vita Port  "Dates Announced"

User is online   Lunick

#1

After a very long time, Devolver Digital have finally announced the dates of Duke Nukem 3D hitting America and Europe: 13th and 14th of January next year.

However, it seems this morning that it was made to some stores early and is still buyable in some stores https://store.sonyen...UKE3DHDEUPS3000

Will there be a PS4 port of this? Also cross-buy?

You'd have to ask Abstraction Games I suppose https://twitter.com/AbstractionGame

A LOT of that number can be accounted for by Humble Bundle inclusion, but yes, it has sold well.

For all I know that's still more than ever individually bought Duke DC/Caribbean/NW combined.

Filtering in 2D sprites sucks.

Oversampling ftw. Hate filtering on low res pixels.

Who is responsible for porting Megaton to ps3/vita systems, General Arcade or Devolver Digital or maybe both developers?

Devolver Digital hired Abstraction Games, who also handled the PS3/Vita and "new" PC versions of Hotline Miami.

Accidentally posted this question in another topic here it goes:

Will these ports have cheats in them? It's a crime there's hardly and cheats in games nowadays.

Nope

EDIT: If I've should've ask this question earlier they may get implemented. But I'm too late now. *Facepalm*

To be fair, it isn't the same port
I remember the special edition of Doom 3 on original Xbox had cheats for Ultimate Doom, I don't think the XBLA versions did though

Could have sworn there was a little problem where the XBOX version borrowed code and didn't credit TX & Co. Whilst it's a different port, it did borrow from EDuke32, was closer to JFDuke3D though AFAIK.

While Abstraction may have added cheats, PS3/Vita "Megaton" is using the XBLA codebase.

Devolver Digital has exclusive rights to the Megaton Edition name, and they are using it on consoles too for branding.

All matters regarding that have been resolved with the EDuke32 Android licensing agreement.
