This sucks, Robin was one of my favorite stand ups and favorite comedy actors.

R.I.P Robin Williams, you're a legend.

I haven't seen him in anything or really watched any of his old movies in so long, it took me a couple minutes to recognize the name when someone told me. That didn't change the shock factor (especially how he died) and this completely sucks because I grew up with his movies in the 90's.

Hey, if anyone deserves his own separate thread devoted to his life, it's Robin Williams. The guy was amazing. God Bless his soul, as well as those of his loved ones.

This is why you always treat bipolar disorder.

It fucking kills, man.

Damn it viper why'd you go and say that. No treatments are really proven to be any good, pfizer may argue though. I'm not saying ignore it, but far too many children are put on hard mind altering drugs and it's not the solution. Sometimes these pills cause suicides. I think maybe some of our youth are not exactly cookie cutter material, they won't like to sit at a desk all day in class, or fucking socialize neither. Society forces people into a select few molds of how we are allowed to be, anti-depressants and the like are the shoehorn to get as many as possible into the system.

Quote

With proper treatment, the life expectancy of the bipolar patient will increase by nearly seven years and work productivity increases by 10 years.

This post can't even count to potato.

I have bipolar and I promise you, lithium orotate DOES work. And I was fucked for 7 years until I realized I STILL had ADD as an adult and got back on Dexedrine.

Are you anti vaccination too? No shit psychotropic drugs have bad effects...so do mushrooms and LSD. You find the ones that work for you and stick with it. I've been on countless drugs over the years that fucked me up, because my body didn't respond well to anything but lithium.

Second off, if you want to talk about anti depressants, people with bipolar SHOULDN'T take them, period. With most people it swings them into a hardcore manic state which is just as damaging. Mood stabilizers and atypical anti-psychotics are used instead.

Robin Williams did the worst thing you can do - not treat it, and self medicate with strong illegal drugs. Kurt Cobain did the exact same thing 20 years ago...didn't work for him, either. You keep swinging into stronger manic states, then even stronger depressions, so on and so forth, and then you break with reality and DIE.

This is the dumbest post in the history of Duke4.net.

Really?
Try not to take it personally, but if you ever come to Toronto, PM me, and I'll show you my truly hated CAMH corner.
Client goes from almost normal to CAMH and stays with them forever. We would need to track this for about four to five weeks to get my drift.
Sure some people do get real help, but only a view, the others are simply the new victims of official legal drug pushers.

I can get with your second post. I just assumed that by treat it, you meant run to a Dr. get pills. For the record I'm not anti-vaccine. I've just seen a lot of shit. Scripts kill too. Smoke weed everyday.

Can you guys try not to be a bag of buffoons for once? In my book, Robin Williams can get his own redundant thread whenever he wants to.

I grew up hearing his voice as the genie in Aladdin. I'm going to watch "Insomnia" tonight, a movie I've had on my list for awhile that just got bumped up to #1 in honor of him. I guess all I can do is appreciate his work, so that's what I'm going to do. RIP.

If I knew we were still allowed to make redundant threads I would have made one for Rik Mayall instead of using the existing obituaries thread.

Oh, well, RIP Robin Williams, I'm not his biggest fan but he was in some decent movies.

Frankly I believe you can make threads about anything you wish, just ignore the peeps that don't like them.

b.t.w. I have no idea who Williams is/was, but if he is important for you, then make a thread, that's how I learn. A bit every day.:(

He will be terribly missed, here are a few of my favorites films from him;

What Dreams May Come (1998);

One Hour Photo (2002)*SPOILERS****

Red Letter Media once said; Take any still from a closeup on a actor in a movie, if you can tell the emotion then they've convoyed it. - One hour photo has full or great conveyance, just check the clip.

There are lots more I could post. I just wishes he had listened to all the great moralities of movies.

completely unrelated picture was kinda the point.

how is it other people can do random things like start redundant threads, but i can't be a buffoon? You're a racist, that's the problem.

and i didn't know it was amateur hour. Wonder if they'll start re-running Mork & Mindy and his stand-up comedy acts from the late 70s when he was good (dirty).

I am just going to down vote every post in this thread since I made that one because I can.
We have a dedicated thread for deaths for a reason, should we just start making threads on every death again?
Yes Robin Williams was a great actor and I admired him, but I will post about it in the proper thread.

^ Someone made this obi thread, and gave a blow job to someone else to make it sticky.
This is one of the flaws of this forum, it does not accept the current emotional trend of the populus, except of course if one of the inner cirlce has a brain fart.

What else, oh year, my best friend, Klaus Dieter B. 1961 - 13 Aug. 2004, suicide, pumped sky hi on Pfiser meds shit, RIP.

I swallow, but i'll spit up and rub it all over my chest if that's what turns you on.

since the admins decided not to merge can we be respectful of the deceased, stay on topic, and not turn this into a shit-post thread?

it was a cutesy movie with an underlying political spin of pacifists versus war-hawks. One of those feel-good movies of "your aggressive ways are bad. Why can't we all just get along"

I just like the catch-phrase at the top of the poster.

If you're really looking to impose discipline and orderliness in our posting habits, maybe you should look a little more close to home? Perhaps, judging your own posting habits first.

Had to come back, because I just read that apparently, the fucking trolls of the internet thought it would be a great idea to harass Robin Williams daughter to the point that she's leaving behind Social Media for the foreseeable future.

Fuck's wrong with people?
